We meet now and again to indulge in some primal pleasures. To test ourselves against our peers. We do this not for the glory of winning, but for the love of the fight...

All are welcome in Fightclub, but not many are willing to step forward and test themselves as only a 1-on-1 challenge can.  Please watch, applaud, heckle, as the fight proceeds… and at the end, help decide who the fight winner should be. But we’d really love it if you come out of the shadows and show your face.

We have a bunch of rules around here… (I’ll post them below) These rules are in place to give a bit of structure to the proceedings… but when the challengers are up for a bit of a scrap.. this all falls into place nicely enough…

This thread is to recruit new and showcase current members. The weekly fights take place in the wip section of the forum. The current round (round 5) can be seen here [ http://community.imaginefx.com/forums/thread/109189.aspx ] (so far, its been an especially good fight!). We will also have special events from time to time, the first kicks off tonight. [Details to be announced]

THE RULES

THE BASICS

Each week, two IFX members have a draw-off contest. These participants, or challengers, 'do battle' with a character of their own design, shown in conflict with their opponent. The challenge, or round, will usually lasts one week. Votes are cast by members of the IFX forums, and he winner of the round stays to fight against the next  challenger…

A few rules…

 

BEFORE YOU CAN FIGHT

Before you are eligible to be involved in a round, you must post a picture of the character who you wish to do battle with. This character must be of your own design – nothing copyrighted or plagiarised please.

 

THE ROUND

Each challenger must post at least two images in the wip thread, or FIP thread (Fight In Progress as it shall be known)– and one image in the final thread. The fips can be a progression towards a final picture, of they can sketches in their own right; but a minimum of three total images is expected. All artwork must be created specifically for the challenge within the specified timeframe. The final image must feature both characters in a state of conflict.

 

WINNING / LOSING

When both contestants have posted their final images, voting begins. Voting lasts approx two days. 1 person 1 vote. The challenger with the most votes, wins. If the votes are tied - and there is no conclusive winner... then both challengers lose.  The winner of the round stays on, and fights against the next challenger. The winner must use the same character they just fought with. The next round will usually starts immediately after voting closes on the current round. The loser(s) gets to choose who takes part in the next round.  

If a challenger fails to post 2 wips and 1 final image within the timescale, they will automatically lose.

The analogue nightmare: TELLYHEAD   wins 3, losses 0.

He's a fraigile individual really... with a big glass screen as a face, prone to short circuiting around water... but still nobody has been able to defeat him. 

This old warrior is not to be underestimated.. he aint as dependant on mains electicity as you might expect, Tellyhead's also been known to use power cables as 'tentacles'. I'd also suggest that you dont stare too closely into the screen either... it's been said that TV can suck the very soul outta you.

Wolfbane, likes to hide in the dark and slash at you when you are not suspecting.   WOLFBANE is very fast and strong, but his intelligence is low, However, when it comes to hunting and fighting, thats where he is the most intelligent. He is just not smart when it comes to anything else. By day he is a simple man. By night he is a ferocuis fighter!

His signature move is: WOLFBITE.  the bite that will turn you into a Lycan on the next Full Moon.

If your character wants to become a lycan, let me know and ill make sure you get WOLFBITE!

My fighter is Nos. He is fast and strong but only when he is in the air. His eyesight is vague at best but his echo location has pinpoint accuracy. He is what happens when man tries to make their own vampire. He'll drink the blood of the losers and can only get stronger.  Nos's main technique is Sonic Beating he beats his wings at incredible speed while screeching at his opponent intensifying the pitch bursting his prey's eardrums or at least driving them mad. He likes to hide in the old caves that litter the cliffs of China feeding on farm animals and reading sutra's.

Nos is looking pretty cool.. this is the first winged fighter here. Would like to see a match between Nos and Wolfbane at some point... vamp v wolf !  ...and just wait till they drink each others blood! uh-oh

Here he is, the ape himself, Rambo monkey - minus the headband.

A rare breed of species engineered in the future with advanced intelligence and mentality compared to their wild counterparts, enabling them to develop their own characteristics. Phew!

Never in a good mood, R.M sets out on destroying anything that comes in his path.

His gun is capable of all sorts of powerful blasts, while seemingly anything he gets in his hands will be used against his opponent.

being a primate, his weakness is bananas.

his size may also be a downfall. but this simian packs a punch.

The Cap'n enjoys rum, cigarettes, women, debauchery and vice. his fleshy looking sack is not to be mistaken as a weakpoint, it is rock hard and churns testosterone into his bloodstream making him more man than an actual human male. It is like his second heart and/or brain.
The Cap'n was an experiment created by a zealous geneticist, but at a ripe age he escaped and began sailing the seas and living the hardy life of an immoral, womanising, brawling pirate. He has had no traditional training in the ways of combat, just plenty of brawls and scraps. His agility also makes him a formidable fighter.
The Cap'n says: 'Hurry up and bring it on...because i need to take a sh!t.'

i think its under the terms and condition but then again well see what the hamster and goat have to say. :D    im not the mod here but if i were i wouldnt allow it since there are underage kids here. 

Wolfbane wouldnt mind fighting him tho, he'll eat them as an appetizer before the main course. :D

good point, oh well, here's hoping.

and if wolfbane even tried eating them.. days later his stomach would burst open and hundreds of tiny mutant frogspawn would bounce out and destroy his family or anything he ever loved
