would definetly like to see more puppets used. i don't think cgi is ALWAYS required.

Speaking of CGI vs real human movement, I recently had the chance to watch Immortel (ad vitam).

This is based on the Nikopol Trilogy comics. The creator of the comics also directed the movie, so I guess it is as true to he source material as it could possibly get, unless the guy really sucks as directing (I though he did a pretty good job.)

This movie has some CGI characters, but they are not exactly CGI creatures; they are human beings that is genetically engineered. But instead of hiring human actors with makeup like they do in Star Trek, they simply do CGI. And since they act alongside the real human characters, the whole thing looked really weird. It's like watching a cartoon with people in them.

Think ol spidey grew a belly or something. For me it's one movie too late. They already made a mess of Venom.

I'm even looking forward to a new Batman, as much as I like Bale / Nolan, we won't get another Joker appearance out of them.

Speaking of remakes, am I the only one feeling it's a bit soon to make a new spider-man from the start? Maybe I'm getting old, but it feels like the last guy was spidey not at all long ago. And he was cute. Which is beside the point. But if they ever remake Eragon now that the whole story is published and they could make a movie or TV series without botching it all, I hope they'd choose a cute actor for Eragon. And not make Irons play Brom again 'cause I get disappointed when Irons dies. He's cute too.
