Couple of questions.

In issue 50, it was mentioned that Andrew Jones had used some IFX brushes. Where can I find these?/what are they? (I've had a browse through the website but with no luck.)

As I'll be entering the cover competition, I'm a bit worried about the nudity my picture will contain. It'll contain a womans torso, naked, but with snake-like scales covering it and nipples wont be showing. Is this acceptable? I've looked at the rules and couldn't find any info concerning this.

Several months ago I subscribed to your magazine. I was promptly e-mailed a receipt, but to date have not yet received a single issue. Was wondering just how long this takes?

Just curious, has anyone else stopped receiving email notifications from the site? I normally get a large stack of the things every day but haven't had any for 2 or 3 days now.

Is it possible to stll subscribe starting with issue 50?

I live in Canada and I subscribed in october to imagine fx, but I never received the confirmation email, but now that I think about it, it may have been deleted because it went straight to my unwanted emails...

I haven't received any magazine yet, but I don't know when I'll receive it and wich one.

Can anyone help me, I'm really clueless!

Storing your ImagineFX

Hi guys, I've got a few issue of ImagineFX and really want to keep them nice a pristine. I've looked around the net and come up with what for me I think would be a nice little set-up to store my beloved ImagineFX :D and just wanted to get your opinions,

2000AD Bags (New) - 9 1/2" x 12" - 100 pack £3.99

50 Calcium Backing Boards - 219 x 283 mm £8.99

both can be found at http://www.forbidden-planet.co.uk/acatalog/Boxes__Bags___Boards.html. Along with p&p that comes to about £16.00. If I could I would get fewer bags and boards, but cant seem to find any but I'm sure I can use them to store some of my other magazines and comics :D.

Then they should just fit in to a standard Box file, so I can keep them out of sunlight on the few occasions when I'm not reading them, and I'll probably store them flat, as I didn't like the idea of storing them upright, where all the pleasure could start to bend the magazine, I know not likely but you think about things like that :D.

So does anyone have any other "awesome" way of storing there ImagineFX. Thanks a lot guys, I always appreciate your opinions :D

i recently uploaded 2 illustrations (Devil and Mamon) hoping that they would appear in the gallery,but although my profile is active and everything is working fine, when I search for my name in the gallery (Stefano) the search produces no results. Can you think of a reason as why this may be happening.

I recently read the mag review on the e-pen create. I'm very new to digital painting and am only getting started. I'm trying out the trial photoshop and Corel painter on the DVD that came with issue 46. Would anyone know if the e-pen is compatible with these programmes? I'm thinking of buying the pen as it's not too expensive and basically I dont have a clue how to get started. Very excited about it though, hope you can help me out :)

Ownership when following a workshop

Hello!

I recently got found of following your workshops. Still in the learning phase of digital drawing I have to paint it quite similar as the workshop describes. If I dont, I feel everything gets wrong (maybe because I compare it to the final result from the workshops).

But I would love to get some feedback once in a while, but how is the rights of my painted product? Can I post it on pages like DeviantArt and Blogspot if I painted everything myself without using anything from the workshop except following the article?

Hi guys, Im currently waiting on Novembers (issue 49) subscription to find its way to me in the post, as it was supposed to be here on the 22nd or before I belive. I haven't seen anyone else with the problem posting on the forum (I did search and really sorry if I did missed any). I did get an e-mail from Future Publishing about possible delays due to Royal mail strikes etc. Can anyone at IFX confirm that, or is anyone in the same boat as me, I just want to be sure Im not alone and missing out on my wonderful IFX :D, thanks guys (oh I live in the south east in kent if that helps)

newby question...how do i use the dvd tutorials from imagine fx?

hi. i have about fifteen imagine f/x mags and now i have painter x along with a genius mousepen 8x6 tablet. ive not been able to access the tutorials on the disc. am i supposed to upload the programs from the disc itself to use the content? or can i use what i have? i am fairly new to digital painting and would really love to get more involved with it. thanks for any help.

Maybe this isn't the right place, but I've exhausted trying to use imaginefx@subscription.co.uk. I ordered the special where I was supposed to get one of the instructional DVDs. Not only has that not come, but my magazines keep coming without the issue DVD as well. The response I get back from the people over there is "oh, we can't find your subscription in our database" which is pretty funny because they're sending me the darn magazine. They sure took my money too.

This is BS. I see many other people are having problems with the DVD. What kind of operation is this? Anyone have the same problem and get it resolved? Right now I'm thinking my best bet is to go back to my credit card company and dispute the charge. Because I am getting totally ripped off.

Screentones, Issue 43

Looking at the disc contents for issue 43, states that there's screentones...

When opening the "data" file (file folder called data under the screentones pack) there's nothing on the disc.

Where's the beef? (or sceentones in this case)

I find the galleries on this site an absolute chore to manage, I must be doing something wrong, is there an faq or "how to" guide anywhere.

for those who run the site... just a comment but there are so many better ways to run a gallery... why does this one have to be so jolly hard!?

Buying Old Issues

Hey!

I'm in Canada and I would really like to buy issue 44 but it's not on shelves anymore!

So I'm wondering is it possible to buy it anywhere? Anywhere online even? I checked eBay but they don't have that issue in stock anymore. I checked numerous sites as well such as the 4 sites listed in the "Where to Buy" forum, US section but they only have the current issue.

I'm willing to buy it, get it shipped it to the US and then ship it to Canada from a friend because I would really like Issue 44!

Any help is greatly appreciated!!! Please and thank you!!!!!!

Trying to find ImagineFX

I can't find ImagineFX in this city, where ever I look. I've just moved here, but I've looked through a lot of shops. Is it a mail adress or any other way to contact ImagineFX so I can get to know where I can find the magazine in this city? Subscription is an option, allthough when I register I get the message that the post/zip code is invalid. And anyway, November -09 will be the start issue and I don't want to miss September and October. Julie

I notice there is an offer of a 13 issue binder for new subscribers... is such a thing available to buy for those of us with all 47 issues and need of 4 binders? They're not in the e-shop yet but if poss, and if not marked up too much, I'd deffo buy a few!
