Hi guys thanks for stopping by here are 2 paintings I've done this year, I've done loads more but the rest of them are less Imagen FX related

First is my Piccadilly Circus acrylic on canvas 49" by 39", this was what I had in my head when I first heard the name. Its a lot like this just the animals dress betterin real life.

Next is "Still alive apples" oil on canvas 40cm by 40cm. I really like this painting and will try make a few more like it.

Gears of War Costume for New York Comic Con NYCC

Here is the Gears of War costume I made for the NYCC event.

Below is the long process for making this. It was the first costume I have ever made and didn't have too much room for error, so it was basically measure twice, cut once and pray it fits.

I started with a hard to find adult size motorcycle vest

Cut and drilled holes for the front extension.

Added mesh and plastic to front part of vest.

Getting ready to add clay.

Then I mounted on a hook where the second gun is going to go.

I cut out a template of of where the backpack is going to have its parts onto plastic.

The I cut and mounted on the plastic peices onto the plastic back.

Then I drilled holes and mounted the plastic backpack to the back of the vest.

Mounted on mesh to the backpack.

Getting ready to add clay to back.

Clay added to front.

Clay added to back.

The clay eneded up cracking pretty bad after it dried. I had to use filler and then smooth it down. Here is the primed paint.

Here is the beginning of the shin guards.

heheh, basicly it is an anatomy study that i played with ^^

I worked a long time finetuning this thing by hand then spent hours and finally cleaned it up in CS4.

Greetings!

This is one of my first posts here on ImagineFX and I am happy to have found you all! I am only just beginning my journey with digital art and hopefully I will have some finished digital pieces to submit soon. But untill then I though I would post a few pictures to show where Im coming from with my art. These pics are all photography with no editting (beyong the occasional cropping). I have always loved abtsract art, I think it shows here.

I always welcome crit and comments and I hope you enjoy!

I am unfamiliar with inserting pics in this manner. When I figure it out Ill post some more LOL!

got this 'grate' idea that I would make a short novel each page accompanied by a drawing

the idea was quickly shot down when I realized my anatomy (hands in particular) had gone where the sun don't shine

The idea was to take an ordinary object and see what you could link it to. I started with an umbrella and linked it to artists who use objects in their work such as Julian Beever, Dave McKean and Dali to nature (relating umbrella anatomy to spiders). Spiders to other animals to distorted animals like the work of Michel Gagne.

Here will be my inks/pencils for viewing/critiques. I range from portraits to abstract, hence the title. Thank you to everyone who looks/posts, I greatly appreciate anyone doing either.

My first piece is titled "Eric Draven".

Why? Rather obvious. I used two reference photos and the graphic novel for the inking style-not my norm in the least. It was a struggle to keep it simple and clean, trust me.

Ink on heavy stock paper, put into PS7 for clean-up and for print.

Hi all, I'm pretty new to the forum and recently started to use Photoshop and MangaStudio, but i've been drawing/painting in traditional media for some years now :)

So without futher ado, I'd like to introduce you all to my vision of hobo/tramp robot. I wanted to go for a slightly steam punk influence whilst keeping the cartoon feel. All comments appreciated, I'd be very greatful for any tips on using markers as i've recently started to experiment with them, this being among my first images.

this is my alevel final piece, its 2 sheets of A1 overall, based on the theme of discord. done in about 9/10 hours. in the absolute finished version, they do have police written on their jackets lol.

A young paladin named Tristan. Made with ink and screentones. While inking this picture I wanted to practice using a nib (is that the correct term?) which I'm not very familliar with, but I think I did pretty good if comparing to how I ink with pencils. I'm new to using screentones too but it was pretty fun.Also, I tried cross-hatching, a technique I was very critiqued for a couple of years ago (even got the advice to give it up totally!) and haven't really felt like using since then. I'm pretty happy with it though. Not the most dynamic picture, but all in all it was a good experience and I got sort of the result I was looking for.

Made with colored pencils and ink. This one is also rpg related (as most of my pictures have been lately, heh) and is basicly just an inside joke between me and my friend. I haven't really used colored pencils since I was little so it was a fun nostalgia trip. ^^ I almost never do backgrounds so I've developed a sort of fear of doing it. I wanted to break it by really challenging myself.

This is (again) an rpg character of mine, made with markers and ink. Unfortunately our crappy scanner can't pick up the apricot/pink-ish colors on her skin(they look sort of orange/brown instead). It really bugs me because that's what I was most pleased with in this one. I've tried manipulating it in PS to get it to look more similar to the original, but this was the best I could do (even though it might be a bit over saturated)

Please tell me what you think. I consider these pictures done and won't do any more changes to them, but I'd love to hear tips and advices on how to do better next time. :)

(Btw, english isn't my first langugage, so sorry if it's sounds weird here or there. ^^; )

Hi! This is my first post!

The drawing was one of my commissions that I did for someone. I only just started using pencil again for finished pieces. I just found out that I could shade better with pencil than marker, and the ending result comes out better. Thought it is "anime" style, I'm straying away from it more and more. I'm trying to imporve in anyway I can. So hit me with all the crit you have!
