Thinking about Karate from said cartoon is a little cringe-worthy though ("chop him Karate!" etc... Oh dear).

Wow, I remember dangermouse here in the states. that was pretty far back. I'll have to check the episodes to see what they included as references.

actually watch the first episode of Dangermouse few weeks back - lol, its mad funny - there's film refs in there, and its pretty bizarre too - in a trippy way!

lol I loved Munchausen.

I still have yet to pick up that movie, though I did notice the other day that it'd been re-released. it was a fun and entertaining watch, back when movies actually relied on proper and engaging plots instead of special effects.
