Daily Drawing Theme

Hey! Here is where I am at at the moment. I've worked on her light source, form and skin, his light source, form and skin, the electro-magnetic flares and both have been tied into the background a bit. Oh yeah, I Einstein'd his eyebrows. I'm going to put it aside in order to give the Olympic Ceremonies a go. Please feel free to pick on it, I'm game. There are things that I still intend to address and they are the 'eggs' perimeter, all of the hard edges of the bodies (it's still layered and masked), and the fact that her tone is a tad off compared to his arm. It's like the perfect tan or something and it just seems odd.

Wip3/Final. Not so sure that i will tinker much with this till finish but this is pretty much it. Any advice?

I'm assuming the figure in the foreground is a large statue? I'd like to see something introduced to give me more of a sense of it's scale. Birds maybe?

You've also got a real tangent going on with the arm and the mountain in the background. Id suggest breaking that up by dropping the mountain down a bit. My personal preference would be to see the sky rendered in keeping with the rest of the image as it looks a little too picture perfect in comparison to the rest which is beautifully rendered.

I really like it.

I agree you need some thing to establish the scale of the statue, as it looks like reg character as of now, might consider changing the color/texture for the statue, as it sits your light spot reinforces the humanness of the statue by looking like flesh (see sword arm). And maybe some smaller peeps by statue or maybe breaking the statue, aka, Broken Greek statue.....

Edit: after looking again could even go little bigger with the statue in the foreground and detail some more to help it look more like stone

To Naszia: Very nice landscape indeed. And yes, the statue would look impressive if there is some scale. I see the potencial in the tail of the swarm (I believe the dark dots on your wip suppose to be swarm thou I'm not sure if this is the right word ). Some creatures [or whatever motion able, that can walk into your city :) ] might be passing by the statue at the same distance as the hill is. This needs just a little touch up to extend the hill a bit further to the left. Also with the sword turned a bit to follow the parallel of that hill the statue can be a bit bigger.

After sketching countless concepts for a medieval blacksmith/foundry guy that went nowhere, I'm going with an explorer founding some kind of settlement.  It will give me a chance to do a bit of landscape (which I rarely do).  I want to put the viewer behind the main figure as she designates the place for the settlement.  There's enough male "founders" so I made it a woman. Here's the rough concept sketch:

Looking loads better overall. The values and balance look great to my eye. Not totally sold on the sky on the right here but the left looks really really good. I might stick to the left to right wind direction for all three little fires. Just suggestions though, love your work here. The statue is looking suitably epic now.

wow, some really nice work coming along! I'm a little further along now, only trouble is the new Promethieous trailer has got my sci-fi imagination buzzing so I hope I dont lose interest in this piece :/
