Looking like we were getting many statues this month (=

I thought about this theme and scetched yesterday some concepts for this to work out composition. I think I have decided with which one I go but I´m always glad to hear some suggetions (=

I thougt I go with some stong noon light in an ancient greek or roman city..

It´s a bit creepy quality, cause I did this at University on my netbook...hope you don´t mind.

I'll go for definition 2 then :D Already got a great idea, but first focus on the Tarot challenge. A month is luckily plenty of time.

Anelim, I like the arcades. It's too soon to say anything about it, but I'm curious :)

"The Founder" to me is someone who found something....maybe I'm wrong, but that's what I'm going for,

I found this cool stock image I want to use somehow, but I don't exacly know how just yet... :http://intergalacticstock.deviantart.com/

1st wip for me... The Idea is that this guy has escaped a crashing starship in a lifeboat and is the sole survivor. He still manages to be the founder, did he clone himself or mate with the locals?  :)

I think I hit two of Hans' definitions, founder of a race and foundering in a lifeboat :))

@Gabriella, sorry but someone who found something would be the finder (finders keepers?), but I could easily see your character as the founder if she has found a gateway to another world or she could be meeting the founder (I'm imagining a race of little people pushing their Mayor forward, this for some reason makes me chuckle).

Also Big +rep for showing the ref pic, dislike it when peeps use photo refs with no credit 'cause it disheartens people who think "wow I could never draw that well. I may as well give up now"

Nice Midscrawl. Quick do a companion piece for the weekly challenge. That'd be cool.

well I've started to block out some of the colours, is it obvious enough that the statue is the founder and the town has sprung up around it?

Ok, I think I have something I like, and a direction where I can take it. I have tried about 10 concepts and like none so far but this hit me today and I think I got a starting place.

    The real founders of Stonehenge!
