banjaxedmdt:Interesting how many of the entries are influenced by the design of Coppola's film more than the book (not a criticism, just an intriguing observation).
I guess because - like with Bond, Holmes, Tarzan and others - the vast majority of people are more familiar with the movies than the original source material; and that the Coppola movie pronounced itself as Bram Stoker's Dracula, as if it was a very faithful adaption (which it isn't).
It is, however, a beautiful film to look at, and great fun for connoisseurs of dodgy accents (although, strangely, the least convincing English accent belongs to Sadie Frost - who is English) and scenery chewing (worst culprit - Anthony Hopkins, who more recently outdid himself with both roaming accent and hammy acting in The Wolfman)
