A big overhaul to the border. I've used a dry brush look, which is more in keeping with the style of the images.

Dang, those are some lovely entries. I just got the ball rolling on mine -- sort of pulling inspiration from the recent Mucha-licious issue of IFX. Hopefully I can get some more done on this and have something finished by deadline.

wow everyones cards are looking fantastic i really need to stop procrastinating while i research stuff and just start drawing already.

 

 

Goofing around with this some more, trying to figure out if I want to go with the outlines.

second wip.   trying to tie it back towards first card produced   

 

 

I wasn't feeling the nakidity on her, so I added a tunic dress. The green of it helps the color scheme somehow, and the folds add some staccato visual notes. I'm committed to the line work now: it speaks to the playing card theme, and to the Mucha-inspired direction I wanted to travel in.

Also expanded the canvas to make room for the border. Still a lot more to be done here. I plan on an elaborate border, some jewelry, refinements to her face and feet, etc.
