1 - Mleeg-Art - I warmed to this, the more I looked at it. For starters, I really like the quality of the facial illustration, but the main things that grab are the subtle details, like the tears being blown away, and the nuke (Or other large explosion/impact) reflected in the eyes. You get a real sense of hopeless emotion on the character's face, and that sense of burning embers and fire behind. The only thing I wasn't totally keen on was the bright yellow. Little too day-glow, I think, but I get what you're trying to get across, with the bright flash of a nuke? Great work!
2 - HLG89 - this is one of my favourite ideas (I almost went for something similar!). My only comments are that I think the perspective on the building landscape feels a little odd. The figures are great, the girl especially, but the man feels a little awkward, and his hand needs a little work. Also think it would've been nice to see the fiery lighting from outside reflected a little on them. Overall great work though!! Great mood and atmosphere.
3 - Guang - i really enjoyed the sense of cartoon-style fun in this. It's a fun piece!
Sinistral - Wonderful scene and nice composition to it. Just think it would've been nice to have more detail on the main spacecraft body, to echo the level of detail in the city.
Mariasahlberg - I love the simplicity of the message here. Would've like to see a bit more detail, but great piece!
Spudonkey - Wonderfully off-the-wall! I like it!
Bergy68 - Great scene, with high impact (No pun intended, honest!). It would've just been nice to see more detail in those impacting planets and the landscape below.
Kodabble - Definitely don't bin it! Certainly not the idea! I'd love to see this finished with all the proper detail and tone that you didn't have time for.
Great work everyone!!!
