I'm not sure if you guys can see the 2nd wip.  All I can see is the little box with x in it. Huh?
'Impossible' is really just a concept.

Pretty much done with the character, now I have to get going on the background (time is running out).

The ones that are jumping out at me right now:

lituzen05: (very apocalyptic--downright disturbing)  I hope the world doesn't end that way.
Dave: As usual--well done and reminiscent of the fantasy art of the 70's (love that).
Zephyr:  I like where you took it--made quite a few significant changes and it's working well.
Nomad:  This one is giving me a Blade Runner vibe--I know it has nothing to do with the movie, but maybe it's the colors.  I like it.

Thanks for noticing Fragg! How can you work so far without a background? Surely you have something behind that layer...share! Great looking reflections.

Eaglecaste I'll bet it all comes back if you give it a try. I'd like to see what you come up with.

LOL, I do have a background, but it looks like crap at the moment so I turned it off for the WIP.  I hate it at the moment and I'm trying to figure out how to make it interesting. As far as the reflections--thanks, I looked at a lot of photos of shiny car hoods for patterns.

Just loading my first wip for the comp. This is a bit more b-movie than sci-fi/fantasy but I really liked the idea so hopefully you guys will too! I really want to capture a 50's style movie poster so hopefully I'll nail it this week.

Everyone's work is looking great by the way, I'll write a nice long crit tomorrow on what I think of the work of seen. Nice one.

Well the month only has a few more days in it so its time to finally get cracking. Instead of a technological or sci-fi heavy future I'm more interested in a metaphysical vision of the future, thousands of years from now when humanity shakes off its corporeal form and advances to the true next step of cognizance, becoming in some ways gods of the universes we learn to create.

Vampura- I like your colours very much!

kmasgrande - you caught the flowing feeling very nicely, and the colour palette is also very nice

Chantika - maybe you should rethink the composition? I'm a bit confused because the woman's hands cover parts of the robot.

nicosstaff -  cool idea, i'm eager to see more finishe version

Here's my WIP 3, not quite sure what to do next, I'm not completely satisfied with the colors and values:

sirtuuna:  I actually like it the way it is.  I think the muted colors work very well together.  And the contrast with the lit window in the building draws the eye there.  I think you should leave it alone.

That is simply gorgeous. If you feel like experimenting, try testing a broad spotlight on a layer set to "Soft Light", and play around with placement. Lois van Baarle wrote about that trick and I have used it several times with good results...
