My head is still a little foggy on where I'm going with this, and I was drawing a blank for awhile , but we'll see how it goes :)

WIP 2 - settling on a design I think, but the torso looks a bit odd, maybe too long, or the twist of it, not sure. Also blocking in some colors

mjasnowski cenobites are twisted and odd so you are doing great.

Robin I was hoping to see you in here with your way of manipulating flesh...love it!

Okay I'm getting close to starting on ripping her up and nailing down the little things. Thanks for the crits guys!!!

I like the collar thing you have now robin. Just go with that and follow the shape of the body. I like the stripped eye.

And its cool to see so many more cenobites:)

Re: Rebels Challenge # 37 - Introducing The Newest Cenobite (Hellraiser)

    nice work dudes

zephir- looking really awsome I especially love the razor wire I think it pretty much  sums a cenobite up right there

Solomon- great sketches dude I think you started a trend

So! these are the first sketches I done, just fleshing (he he) out some ideas

though it wasn't until I came up with a background that the pic started to take shape, in short

Father Samuel indulgent in perversion and jubilant in his own self destruction, blindly followed the belief that his sacrifice of innocence and 'self'  appeased his celestial father, thus gifted by dreams of unknown text, Samuel, like so many before him, fell pray to the insidious arcane, to this end he came across a  puzzling instrument, another gift? a sign! grabbing madly at the edges tears if piety cascading down his face Samuel opened the lament configuration, and so he fell....

Hell has no time, a myriad, millennium of unfathomable blessings bestowed him, his time has come once again to roam the corporeal plane of the living, his faith, a twisted form of malice, his piety, a thing of contraption he forces the word of god on those veracious enough to summon him, through his crusaphim, which he uses with the dexterity of an artist he performs the rites of divine suffering.......then waits.

first samuel pic a lot of problems to work out

working out some of the problem areas

s'more ideas and concepts for the crusaphim

Thanks ZephryA, I'm really liking yours with the bound hands and barbwire hair. All the cenobites are coming along great.

WIP 3 - Did a bit on background and little further on body detail, maybe she's a Cenobite cheerleader :)

It looks pretty d*mn good :)  The colors are great, the blood/muscle work gives the impression of a beard which is interesting, and the detailing on the clothes is great. I also like the background and how you created depth by making some items appear faded out, very nice! It has a very classic look (for me), as in I could flip open a history book and see this painting there :)

The only very minor thing was the perspective of the headpiece (that bar going through the head) appears (to me) to be going at an angle instead of straight through , unless that is the design, I wasn't sure since the wires pulling at the scalp appear to be in a line across the top of the scalp.  Basically the bar on one side looks like its going in near/above the ear, and coming out at the temple towards the face on the other side.  Sorry for being long-winded, I'm not positive I even see it every time look, but I noticed it more than once while looking at it.

WIP 01: Cleaned up concept sketch.  Going to do a Cenobite called "Barb" --the stuff around her head is barbed wire pulling her face out.  She'll have barbed wire poking out all over her.  Thought I'd include the Cenobite cube for effect.

Re: Rebels Challenge # 37 - Introducing The Newest Cenobite (Hellraiser)

    nice zeph. It's looking good.

Sorry for the great writing in my last post. Some of the things I wrote I have absolutly no idea what I meantStick out tongue But it was a fun party.

Mjasniwski, I have looked at the headpiece again, but I can't really see the angle. I did have some problems with it becourse of the angle of the head, but felt this looked best. I'll see if I can adjust a bit tomorrow. Hung over now, and not in shape to do artIck!
