    Bnon:

Glad to see that i'm not the only one thinking of megaman!

Weazle- There is a way to post multiple images, it involves uploading through another website like photobucket. The entire process was on a forum post not to long ago in help and support, but unfortunatly I couldn't find it for you, nor do I know how to do it.

Can anyone else shed some insight?

I have been using Insert/Edit Image on the toolbar for multiple images, then you use the link to the external image, note I have not gotten this to work using Safari.

    Weazle:
Mindbender- I would eliminate the staircase.  It is distracting and pulls the eye away from the focal point which should be Link.

Thanks for the advice. IF I keep it I'm planning to make it really dark, barely visible (wanted to capture something of that sweet "ka-ka-ka-ka-ka" sound of Link walking into the cave) Big Smile.

Im going the way of Zelda with my FIRST EVER attempt! Trying to recreate the final Link vs Ganon battle from Zelda 1 in a Wind Waker cell shaded style! at least thats the plan! Will post progress images when I get a moment!

Liquidgfx- Great idea with the cel shading, I loved the Wind Waker game for its artistic look, interested to see what method you use to achieve the look.

I love the Metroid series, most memorable would have to be the epic fight between Ridley and Samus.

    Off to work,

    Great start, Bnon.

Here is my first color WiP, trying to find the right "8-bit" palette. Removed the stair for now, as suggested. Comments & Crits very much appreciated.

    Here's another idea I'm batting around for a Mario/Bowser

Here Bowser is more of a demon, I'm not quite decided how I'd handle the empty space on the sides, but a few thoughts would be: 1) Darkness and the heat/light of the lava radiating up, maybe distorting the view a bit, 2) mountains of skulls, 3) Bowsers minions clawing to get at mario on the platform

Well, I'm new to the whole challenge thing but I'm thinking Double Dragon. I spent days of my life on that damn game. I don't think I ever did beat it.

I expect I'll have a WiP up in a day or two.

Great ideas Yes, but personally I think I liked the previous angle better. More sense of depth, more "epic" somehow.

Btw, when I think about Mario in one of the "big castles" I mostly remember those rotating burning swords. Maybe add one of those as well? Keep going, looking good Smile

Welcome, though I never played DD on the Nintendo (but on Amiga and Commodore 64) it's one of those "nostalgia" games. Looking forward to your take on it. What I remember from it is those giants and a woman with a wip (or was it a WiP? Wink).

Mjasnowski- I really like the dynamic angle you put on the most recent sketch, Bowser looks rather intimidating with his daunting size!

Mindbender- This is a paint over that I did of my nephew a few months back. I wanted to go with the an 8 bit look as well so I referenced some artwork from the Zelda series. Hopefully it helps.

If not, I wanted to show this off anyway ;). LOL!

Yeah, I can see that, would it make this one seem more epic if I reduced the size of mario and the platform?  I've attached a sample

My 1st WIP! Looks a mess I know! BUT its a WIP non the less! Using Illustrator CS4 at work during my dinner to get things done and hopefully looking nice and cell shaded!

Metroid kicked so much ass. I sketched this up not to long after the Mega Man sketch.
