I suppose stable is in the eye of the beholder.
It is a 'released' version as opposed to a beta version.
Personally, I can run it all day long and do 12+ hour renders overnight and not have a glitch. But I know that some others have tons of trouble all the time with it. It seems to be unusually sensitive to the end-user's hardware, operating system, and software configuration.
Thanks for the hint, but I'll probably just go ahead and use whatever tool I have that serves my purpose. Software snobs don't bother me very much.
All things are possible, if we lose our minds to them.
