    DAZ|Studio 2.3.3.50 released

DAZ3D has released a new stable version of their free 3D application DAZ|Studio. It has gone through several beta releases as the development team works to clear out incidents in the bug tracker database. Other than stability improvements, no major functionality changes are included.

Thanks for letting us know, Jonnyray. Downloaded and ready to use. I need to spend more time with 3D Bridge and Photoshop.

"STABLE"????  I've been using Daz for 8 years now, and can't remember the last time I saw a "STABLE" version.  Great program, but there's nothing stable about it.

Small hint if your planning on doing any art challenges, don't use Daz, these people frown on it even though the magazine uses it in some of thier Q and A's and mini-workshops.

I suppose stable is in the eye of the beholder. Wink It is a 'released' version as opposed to a beta version.

Personally, I can run it all day long and do 12+ hour renders overnight and not have a glitch. But I know that some others have tons of trouble all the time with it. It seems to be unusually sensitive to the end-user's hardware, operating system, and software configuration.

Thanks for the hint, but I'll probably just go ahead and use whatever tool I have that serves my purpose. Software snobs don't bother me very much. Stick out tongue

really?  I wasnt aware of it being frowned upon! must have missed something.  I think there is a culture here that if its 3d rendered material not painted then its got to be top top knotch or it wont be valued, but Im not aware its frowned upon.

Ill have a watch out for the frowning though, might have just missed it.

Do you mean the challenge dudes dont like it if you paste stuff from daz into photoshop, or if you just use it as a reference for pencil sketches?

How much does DAZ cost, or is it public domain?

hee, hee,,,,I said a few things about it....But it was just my opinion I'm not aware of any rule or anything that anyone official has frowned upon it. Just me and I'm nobody. Dragon6261 I'm very sorry if I offended you (not sure if it was me you were refering to or not?). I would just like if you use Daz models you would note it only because of the vast difference of time and skill it takes between making your own models from scratch and using premade. Like if you do a paint over of an existing photo you should note that that's what it is. That's all I was meaning by my comments.
