Was going to have them Christmas shopping for something. But it was the last item on the shelf and so they start b-i-t-c-h slapping each other for it. Seems like a great way to start a epic cat battle.

Maybe I can incorporate my idea into yours somehow (but probably not...)

I've set up a handy google calender for the Fightclub events. There's a link to it on the front page of the Blog too. Round 24 and 25 are gonna have to be a few days shorter than usual to get them in before the Christmas challenge starting at the beginning of December.

I was wondering how everyone else puts their speech balloons on their pages? I used to do it with photoshop but it seemed to take ages and I could never get the balloons to have borders which didn't end up distorted, which is why I didn't bother with them during the tournament. Does anyone know of some free software or a set of graphics that can do the job? Cool idea with the calendar.

I just use Photoshop too. I'm pretty sure there's special comic software though. Isn't there a demo of some kind on this month's DVD?

Has Starfox gone AWOL? I notice Darkwrath didn't submit a final image either.

Nope still here, just had a lot of decorating to do today Yeah, I was hoping for a better turnout too, but hey ho.

If I have any lettering to do, I usually just use a shape layer with custom shapes and a stroked layer style in Photoshop too, I used to both hate and love doing it by hand in the olden days lol, loved doing the lettering but hated doing the bubbles. I also managed to make my own font with my own handwriting a few years back, it's not great but I still like using it since it's my own hand. I also have a lot of the custom shapes from Photoshop, if anyone wants them I'll throw them up on the blog for download if you want. You've also inspired me to do a video tutorial about how I use them. I'll post it at some point in the next week too (if I don't get time to do it tonight)

I've put a little tutorial about how I do speech bubbles in Photoshop on the blog. Unfortunately wordpress doesn't support uploads of Zip files so it's just a walkthrough, but hopefully it might help a few people, plus it was good practice for doing tutorials. Let me know what you guys think, and if it makes sense or not.
