    Hi Folks

Sorry I have not been around for a while as been busy with other things.

Some nice work started in here.

Nice topic Ander Soth ... think may give this one a try to get me back into the swing of things again.

What about sails up since the oars are out?  You'd see more body that way.

My thoughts too, exactly ! Very cool image Kaz ! I found this link useful for reference on ancient Greek ships.

Wonderful concept you got there, EmiliaPaw...Love it !

oooh excellent ideas! thank you rain & oaktree! so i'm going to put the sails up AND tip it! an excuse to paint more waves! (which i'm lovin Tongue TiedIndifferent! lol)

oaktree, i wouldn't take offense at good advice like that, and it never ceases to amaze me how we can trundle on with an image, completely ignoring it's flaws! lol

Thanks for the reference image Raimo, thats going to help massively!

Another slight update.  Close up on the face.  Have been playing about with the hair.  Don't know whether to incorporate some sort of headgear.  Like a fine mesh or netting type afair.  Would this be too much?

You can't build a reputation on what you're going to do.

man Things are getting tough. everyones work looks crazy-good. Had a little time this morning before I went to work to add a little more to mine. Added the dagger and made some color adjustments. Should be able to work on it quite abit this weekend if the shuttle lifts-off tonight with no problems. Its the last night ever for the shuttle I wnat to get some photos if I can.

I think its shaping up quite nicely. The eyes do not quite converge on the same point so, either the left or right need to be shifted slightly (and pupil dilation as well) with corresponding light glint. Gluck!

Re: November 2008 Challenge - Ancient Greece - WIP Thread

Work got busy.. and busy work is counterproductive to fitting in required time with the pencils and paints... so it looks like I'm sitting this one out... I'll visit the Hades idea oneday tho... I still think it could make for a good image.

and everyone's work is looking simply amazing! Emiliapaw... love it... its really atmospheric.. all peaceful like Smile
