    Eraserhead

I was watching a video of an Aardman artist at work (in my downtown Wallace and Grommit exhibition) and noticed the chap using a fat pen-type thing to erase bits of pencil work.  Any ideas as to what this eraser-variant might be ?

Was it an electric eraser? Looks kind of like a fat marker pen with a small eraser nib that spins. Used for erasing out small fiddly areas without wiping out everything around it.

like one of these: http://www.chromacolour.co.uk/store/animation_eraser_sakura.asp (first one I found on Google, not my recomendation or anything).

Could it be a pencil line hoover? You know, for sucking up pencil lines.

And what kind of lines have you been sucking up recently, Gurch? I thought it was just the Monet that had gone to your eraserhead.

Its mainly used by animators, for cleaning up page after page of outlines and where precision work is a must. Helps speed up the work flow.

Good for accurate erasing- useful for animation cleanup. Also good for tonal work, usingit like a white pencil.

Chews through the rubber though. Good to have, but wouldn't lose sleep over not having one.
