Re: 12th Biweekly Rebel Challenge WIP thread.. Gladiator, fighter &amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp; brawlers.

As you can see I've changed the composition a good bit, The naga is about to slay his last opponent in the collosseum, revelling in the foolish human's suffering, slowly constricting his limbs.

I think the perspective with the collosseum is still a little messed up. Yes, that's the gladiator's sword on the ground, his arm is being constricted and he lost grip on the handle. I haven't quite decided whether I want the gladiator to be only partially or fully armored. Partially armored woul work well with the whole constricting thing. The spear behind the naga is supposed to belong to another gladiator who is yet to be put into the painting.

Hopefully I'll be able to finish this in the next four??-ish days

Pretty pictures - quite a superficial goal in life, huh? Too bad, I guess...

I love the idea of "oldest gladiator in the world" (Last man standin) Good luck, Dead Meat!

Things just are, then they ain't.

Re: Anthro for 12th Biweekly Rebel Challenge WIP thread..

xHaStex - thanks man, I hope I have the time to finish it properly - hope to do some work on it today. As for your piece, love the two mean main guys but I think you should separate them from the background a bit more. Also, it'd be great if you could extend the canvas to the right (or their left) and have a guy with his back to them, so we know who it isthat is about the get stabbed :) (unless the person about to get stabbed is the dude in the background ;))

Martin - great, great detail on the lion guy :) The guy in the front, maybe you need to correct the perspective on his mouth and nose part a bit - when I look at them it seems he's turning his head to the left but his eyes and the back of his head indicate he's turned at the lion gladiator in front of him... dunno, i could be wrong...

Tector - thanks :D

Weazle - this is coming along great, I really love the whole thing - pencils, colors and that big mean pile of muscles looming over the human in the front. Keep it up :D

Jackdaw - looks like a mix b/n Conan and Maximus, would be really interested to see it develop :)

Oooomph... I need to get my stuff together and do some work on that thing, the deadline is approaching :)

Thanx xHaStex and Dead Meat.

Not even sure If i'll include the other dude, can't seem to get a creature/perspective that I'm satisfied with.

Very cool Mongolian warriors xHaStex.

Re: Anthro for 12th Biweekly Rebel Challenge WIP thread..

Latest updates looking good.

Martin - the lion fighter is really shaping up. Like the battle scars. Looks like a wily veteran.

dead_meat - the pile of bodies keeps getting higher !

xha - like the muted colours. Gives it an 'ancient' feel.

Started colouring latest WIP.

Love it Eagle... I think I'd be ok with her kicking my * Embarrassed
Anyway... I've been doing a lot of experimenting with Blender this week, so I've kind of let this challenge go by the wayside.
However, I can't sit back and let one pass, so here's an offshoot of my original idea:

Re: Anthro for 12th Biweekly Rebel Challenge WIP thread..

Gladiators ready? Ive been try to get my brain in gear for The Brain challenge on at the same time so been sideline from here for a while.
Gotta say the standard off picture is look good.
I did get to play about with one of my idea, but i messed about too much with the BG's ..thats backgrounds not the singing sensations.
Really had fun with idea even did a widescreen version just for fun..also been repositioning the fighter because i felt the perspective was wrong.
Beacuse of The Brain and We be Pirates i havent had time to put in more effort on my picture of the first brother...he's still in the holding cell waiting to be let out. Orihgnally he was suppose to be a redesign of this fighter but ive actually fallen in love with him because he is my first ever photoshop picture and first time i have used textures and also because of the crash the fastest i have ever done a picture.
...Eaglecaste you have render another great looking entry, your figure look so realistic, she has tough look to here yet easy on the eye. Awesome work on the amour, just been admiring that pauldron.
Gix you've pulled another great idea out of the hat, love how you manage to take a sidewards glance at the challenge titles and come up with a unique concept like this one. It isnt like you to be stuck, whats the problem?
Jackdaw spledidly design costume, love the petals idea.
Dead -meat, fanatsic pile of dead bodies, a nicely laidout idea, good work on the arean too, you have caught the sun hot dusty day feel quite well. . I may well be in Sofia in October for 4 day, great i've not been there yet.
