Lol, Elmo with his brain out, nice one Smile Have you tried rounding out his chin a bit more, and does he have a subsurf on him, or is he just smoothed?

    Re: Blender 3d

Nice and thanks. When I was working on the fur, Blender kept shutting down, so I left him as is.
I have an animation idea for him, so I know I'll come back to it.
I checked out your soft bodies animation... Good work.

    Hey Starfox
I haven't gotten the 2nd one to work yet (which by the way is amazing).  are you just experimenting?
Here's what I was able to do with the first one.
    Thanks for the help.

    Re: Blender 3d

Heehee nice one Gix, looks great. I was just messing about with the hair really to see what was possible. It looks like you don't have the mesh turned on here tho, if you go down to the Visualisation panel, in the particles button, there should be  an Emitter button under Render, if you turn that on it'll render the mesh as well as the hair. In the second one I did I messed around with the Clumping and Shape settings in the children tab, might be worth a go. I'm also finding it tricky lighting and texturing the fur, but then I haven't played with the textering and rendering much yet. I think you probably have more experience with that than I do.

    Re: Blender 3d

I have the emitter on for this one.
I think my computer just gets fussy with the particles... I have to turn them off when I'm working with the rig.
Anyway, thanks for the hair help... I think he looks much better.

    blender-2.47 is out now

    FYI:
The most up to date version of Blender is out now.  From what I can tell it's like 2.46 with a couple of bug fixes.

If one of those bug fixes is a complete redesign of the interface I'll take it Stick out tongue
