Another weird anthro I found...Goes back to a graphic novel that ran in "Heavy Metal" in the eighties, something called "Sheol", drawn by the eminent Silvio Cadelo. One of the characters that made an impression on me was a cat-girl named Minouche, who had a short and very tragic part in the novel...I once draw some portraits of her, she never actually appeared in profile in the novel though...

Edit 9/7: O.k, before anybody else feels the need of pointing it out for me, she did actually appear in profile in one single panel - in a horrific scene that we shall not speak any more of....

Another one...She was rather "furry"...

...And one more ( yes, I am crazy ! ) a sort of  "Mona Lisa"...( I have had this drawing in my sketcbook earlier but then it was censored by Photobucket...)

Ah, blasphemy...I have actually been accused of that in an other artistic context...That´s an another story though.

I have studied Leonardo da Vinci a lot ( not only his art - also the person ) and I belive he would have a good laugh at a cat-girl-mona-lisa...He drew a lot of rather weird stuff himself you know...He would have loved the images here on IFX !

Feels good to know one is loved...

you definitely have a thing for breasts here now don't you. it's all good though, can't say I ever tire of them..errr....yah. ummm...anyway. these past few sketches are really nice. I like the line quality and the way you got the fur on the women to really look...well....furry. the standing up ones one of my favs in this lot.

Eh,..Yes, I keep returning to them in my pictures, it´s getting a bit emberassing now...Two of the most beautiful shapes in existense though..I only hope I do them justice ! The catgirl Minouche actually looked like that in the story - only dressed in her natural...fur.

The original Minouche ( and the main character Scar ) by Silvio Cadelo in the graphic novel "Sheol" , one of the visually most fascinating graphic novels I have ever seen...And she speaks Swedish too...

One thing...

I'm going to sound like a huge dork but I'm really interested in mythologies of the word and especially Mezo-American and Aztec mythology.

Quetzal-coatl is actually a feathered serpent GOD of the Aztec and Toltec culture.

I only know this cause I was taking notes on some Aztec gods for a character study I was putting together.

This doesn't change the fact that your picture is awesome or the way the character looks...

I just thought I'd drop my two cents in and make an ass of myself...

Yes, you are quite right about Quetzalcoatl, the thing in that image is one of my own inventions, remotly inspired by meso-american art...( Thanks b.t.w for reminding me of that image - I should really finish it sometime...) So you are doing something on the theme yourself...interresting ! Looking forward to that, meso-american art should be more used for inspiration, I have personally always found it fascinating, especially Mayan art.

Speedpaints, everybody does speedpaints...My stuff usually takes hours, days, weeks...So just to practise I took an old image of Xena the warrior-princess as reference and begun to splash down pixels and colours with my Wacom.

3 hours later it didn´t feel like a speedpaint anymore so I lay down the pen - still, a personal speedrecord ! But it was actually fun somehow, my hand with the Wacom has improved - it feels...Not especially good but as mentioned: fun.
