most of the crew is still there Shotgun. I'm sure there won't be much of a difference. other than maybe the intro page will be done by someone else.

lol, seriously, lovely as Rob was, it's not just him who makes the mag!! the others are still there doing a mega job, and must be a bit cheesed off right now! i think they could manage it themselves anyway to be honest, i can't believe you're seriously considering not renewing your sub cos Rob is leaving!

Shotgun did say said he would check out one post Rob issue, I think that's fair. I've liked all the issues so far, that could be luck...

    Rob,
Good luck in your future, and thank you for all you've done to help put together a wonderful magazine, and all you've done for this little community.

    Re: Goodbye, farewell, so long...

    Good golly!!!

I take a step back from the forums for five minutes, to try and catch up with deadlines, and everyone starts sneaking off.  Quick get the handcuffs for Claire, Kay and Paul.  hang on.  Get an extra pair for Scott, who we've only just dragged in for long lost Tom.  No - nothing kinky.  Just to chain them to their desks.  Although, now I come to think of it,  I have heard rumours . . . . cough, whistle!

You will be sorely missed young Rob.  You've been a brilliant example of how a magazine editor can be creative, approachable  and obviously capable (by how the mag trundles out month after month on a steadily improving path).  That is no mean feat.  Whoever is getting you is a very lucky mag.
(You're not starting a new one are you?!?!  I could imagine you may well have been head hunted for something like that after your meteoric success here.  I know, I know - You can't say - mutter, moan, grumble.  Never mind.  I know it'll be worth the wait for when we do find out where you've run away to.)

I just want to wish you the very best for your new position (don't get cramp - remember to flex).  Hopefully we'll cross paths in the future (is that nearly an in house pun?).  Your successor here has big shoes to fill.  I've seen your feet remember.

    Glad we've met.
    Nick

Wow, thats bad news. Just hours ago I found myself ecstatic for getting the year subscription in issue 33...than I found this forum. Total bummer to loose such a great part of the IFX team... but I will still be an addict none the less. :o) You will be missed.

Did anyone read the Guardian advert for Rob's job?

Reading between the lines, getting these effin arty types to behave is a full time job in itself.
