    Re: New Members Introduce Yourselves!

I would consider myself pretty good at Photoshop photo hacking, but not much else.

That said, I found the magazine on the store shelf and decided it looked interesting and it was amesome!!

I want to get better at painting. I have purchased ArtRage and am no where near as good at anything as I'd lke to be. Actually, I suck.

But that doesn't discourage me - just makes me try harder.

Recently, I found some vids on Youtube about drawing anime style toons and taking it slow, I can get passable results, so I think I'm starting there.

    Re: New Members Introduce Yourselves!

    Hi all,

I'm 25 and from the north west of the UK. I love Imagine FX and find it absolutely inspiring...not only the actual digital art itself but also the ideas people come up with. The only taught part of art i've had is from a GSCE a long, long time ago, so recently i've tried to 'relearn' some basics. I am inspired by a lot of Japanese and Chinese culture and have tried my hand at Chinese brush painting aswell. On the Mac, I only use Photoshop at the moment and still a beginner, so I don't think I will post anything online for a while lol!

(Jadia is my World of Warcraft name aswell, my real name is Kay.)

    Hugs, Jadia

    Re: New Members Introduce Yourselves!

    Hello, everyone.

I recently became a fan of ImagineFX, so I decided to register myself here. I've been working on Photoshop for more than 8 years, and I've also used Poser and Bryce, among others. I've made more than two hundred pieces, which you can see on my deviantART profile:

Congrats on making such an interesting and helpful magazine, guys!

    Here's to moving forward.

Hi. I decided to finally jump in and introduce myself to this community.

    I'm Rob, I'm 29, feeling old..

I've always wanted to be involved in illustration, concept design, or film or game art in one way or another.. I've always had this idea of creating things using a computer.. I have a pair of degrees to my name that I picked up with the intent of moving into that field, but unfortunately I've since been hit with clinical depression and am finding it hard to just hold down a call centre job.  I want that to change. I want to stop living my life with regrets and actually make something of it.

There is art work I have and have done that's online, but the only recent things are a few ships I made for Flying Lab Software's Pirates of the Burning Sea, which I guess is a good thing to have in my portfolio because it means that my stuff has been used in a commercial game, even though I wasn't actually part of the company staff.

    bahamut | bahamut2 | bahmut3 | leviathan

ingame shot 1 | In game shot 2

Aside from that, the only stuff is really quite old.. my three or four year old portfolio (that I'm not particularly proud of) is here and I did a webcomic for some time which is here, which I kinda stopped when my confidence kinda fizzled out.

Been reading IFX for a couple of years now, and have been a subscriber for about ten months.  I must say I've found it extremely inspiring and figured I'd take a step forwards and join this community, and try to actually move my life forward and out of the rut I've managed to get myself into.

    Hi there!

Some of you might know me from other art communities. I pondered a lot before joining IFX because I feel a little intimidated by the great quality of works here. But Pix insisted a couple of times... so yeah... I'm here. hi!
