Here's a question. How do you make a link  from your wip so that you can see the image in its own window?

nice wip rain! its very moreish! i just want to keep looking at it. i'm sure you're still working on it, but you might want to bring in some darker areas & highlights on the hand, to make them more rounded. Love the image though.

    kazky:
you weren't a member then eagle, we had a member called olga that was basically doing paintovers and putting them out as her own work, anyway she left after being 'outted' but before that she'd set the challenge which was pretty much far too clever for all of us! so as she'd left it was abandoned.

Actually I kinda wondered what had happened to Olga. She was "outed"?

    you mean like kicked out?

    Man, that's kinda harsh!

    Anyhoo,

Some nice looking (and freaky) looking creatures here.

I'm seriously tempted to contrib to this. I'm so busy trying to make money so as to not slide into skidrow...

    Maybe I'll get it togother.

    Cheers.

no she wasn't kicked out,  she was confronted about the paintovers and she left.

Yeah, I nosed around a little bit and saw some of the threads leading up to her...uhm...disapearance.

I wondered how her stuff looked so photographic...I suspected that there was some direct work over photography.

Actually paintovers are a standard illustration technique. I don't see how it's such a big deal...

Well anyhoo, I need to sleep, my brain is folding over.

    snore...

The Olga thing still resonates because it was an issue that deserves its own thread. That she walked right into the sucker punch of the outing, unrepentant, just made for great car crash viewing.

Not a signed up member but one of those many that just come to look...a bystander gawping at the wreckage. If you look at who's online there are usually hundreds of non members. Also I put Olga in the search engine for a rewind on the thing.

No-one ever said it wasn't a viable technique, just a lot of people felt it was being used without it being admitted to and challenges were being won on the basis of it.
