I'm a little confused about the rules....so both contestants draw a character and then each one of them are ...then drawn fighting from both...is that right? and people vote on which one looks better as far as dominating the other one?

Ok.. You enter the challenge by posting a picture of a character  who you want to be in the fight.. from the all entries put forward, one is chosen to fight (- chosen by the current contestants) If you are picked to fight, you go up against the winner of the last round.

So... You and your opponent each draw an image featuring both characters... the image can show the start,midddle or end of the battle.. you could even show your own character losing! As long as it has both characters and they are obviously in conflict with each other.

Then... The final images are posted and people vote. The vote can be based on the quality of the final pictures, or which character you prefer. But  could also be based on who was most entertaining during the challenge, or just on sheer bribery. In the spirit of the fightclub, the audience decides the winner.

 

Does any of this make sense to anyone?

OOkay...so it's not who "wins" the battle but who manages to "render" the best illustration as judged by other contestants....and only those that enter can judge is that right? so If I enter and then am picked to battle...say you for instance...and I draw my best pic of you totally bashing up MY character to peices but everyone likes it more than yours' I win...regardless if you have actually "beaten" my character in the peice yes?

yup. character or creature. but its got to be your own.  dont want anybody entering the predator or spiderman. abilities should be reasonalby in-keeping with the original design, but no probs if the character develops a bit during the creative process..  (Maybe my Tellyhead could control electic appliances, but mind control over bunnies would be pushing it... unless they're bunnies who watch a lot of TV!)

Try to do a 3/4 view so your opponent has something to work with.

depends what you mean... if you win a round.. you must keep that character till you lose.

but we will call for new contenders every week - so you can potentially enter different characters each week if you want..

 

The next challenger for round 3 has already been picked.. Round 3 starts saturday an lasts one week.. but please put a character forward for Round 4.
