    Okay Kaz, just for you

    Raymond:

Tore it up to see what the ..I'd received now...and hey...it IS the latest issue of IFX...but..no offence to the artist...the cover art is the "worst" since Issue one...this was no lovely sci-fi/fantasy art...*sighs*

Raymond here says that this issue is the 'worst' issue since issue one.

We however, remember Marko's cover painting on issue seventeen which was painted in a comic style  like  the current issue.

So surely the current issue must be the 'worst' issue since seventeen if we're going to be fair and not blinkered by subjective prejudice.

I think Iron Man's getting the brush off because he's a guy, not because he features in an inferior cover painting.

lol. we're not whining Kazky. just being opinionated and voicing that opinion. nothing more. Smile

And it's not bad because it's not a painterly style. I love comic books and I like the style that was chosen. No complaints here for that. It just doesn't have any impact for me. I'm loving the interiors though. Smile

I'd actually like to see a cover where someones used adobe illustrator to do it. I love that kind of stuff.

if it's any consolation, the cover is slightly growing on me too. as much as I'm not fond of it as a cover, I actually do like seeing it on my desk. so the illo itself isn't ALL that bad. Smile

I take it you mean there wasn't a woman on the cover? The mag has featured at least one superhero comic style cover before.

I like it, I like the lovely covers too but hey, after thirty covers of lovely they get a bit samey after a while.

No Iron Man on either side of my cover, I'm a subscriber....what I got was...I dunno...I just can't find a suitable description that I want to post here...it looks more like a girlie magazine for teens than it resembles anything like IFX.

There's a female saying "Oh my god, I'm on the subscriber cover of Imagine FX" comicbook style and on the back there's just lots of stuff.

So I feel somewhat dissappointed, about the cover, what's inside still rocks :-)

And to answer the question inside wether there should be any book reviews in IFX, NO! The mag is about digital art...period :-)

I don't mind women on the cover of IFX, but I love diversity...fantasy/sci-fi style...I think there should be more creatures/spaceships etc aswell...more than has been on there to now...but I understand the need to have something that appeals to our (guys..and some girls ) subconcious primal needs, to have as many as possible pick it off the shelves and buy it :-)

So to kill Your anger towards my comment Con-bob, I saw Iron Man earlier this week in the cinema and I enjoyed it so much that I'll prob go see it again this weekend.

If Iron Man had been on the cover, I'd be happy as a child on christmas.

Maybe we could beg (with big sad eyes) the people at IFX to maybe include a print of the cover (Iron Man) in one of our subscriber issues.Huh?

Sorry to disagree, but Marko's fully painted style on Issue 17 was so different.
Both great covers IMO. Apples and oranges though ;)

I don't want to be asking for any "compensation"...all I want is a promise that they won't be doing this again Yes

An Incredible Hulk cover would make up for it ;)

I cannot emphasise enough that the cover combination you got was a MISTAKE by the printers. Subscribers should have got an Iron Man back cover. I appreciate the clean, comic art cover is really different, but I thought it was a lot of fun.
