THE CHALLENGE RULES;

WE ARE HOPING THIS WILL BE A BUSY THREAD SO PLEASE LIMIT YOUR POSTED IMAGES TO 150K MAXIMUM FILE SIZE (If you need advise on how to do this PM me or post in a help thread for the software you are using)

From the 1st of January 2009 you are challenged to post a small sketch in this collaborative sketchbook.

1 point for each consecutive day you create a new sketch.

Post on the day where possible. If you cant then post your sketches when you get the chance.

Make a note of your day / point number with each post.

If you miss a day your current score re-sets to zero. (Keep a seperate tally of your total for the year when you continue)

You can start after the 1st of January and join the fun, but you'll have to wait till next year to get a maximum score of 365.

365 will be hard to achive as many things could get in the way.

P.s. Honesty is up to you, this is just for fun / personal challenge of those who choose to accept it.

Landmark Scores;

Score 100 points - Bronze medalist

Score 200 points - Silver Medalist

Score 300 points - Gold Medalist

Score 365 points - Platinum Medalist and you win the 'Dragon Scroll'

For each of the above why not adorn your Avatar with a medal of some kind to mark the achievement?
News updates will be on the website when that happens plus you can find additional information about the story.

There's also a link to the blog where you can leave your thoughts and feedback, we're especially looking for constructive feedback.

Exisles should be Monthly/Bi-Monthly on the web and hopefully printed and available for a couple of quid via a few comic shops and over the internet.

Being printed is the main aim, we don't want to be a web comic solely, comics are meant to be held in the hand!

Anyway, come and check us out, we would really appreciate the support!

THANKS!

My FX weekly Challenge # 151 'The Forgotten Lords' - WIPs

The Forgotten Lords

theme to be interpreted as you wish, have fun

RULES

Deadline for entry is Midnight GMT on Thursday November 26th (note

In the next few weeks I'll be working on some projects aimed at those just starting in art. Some of the projects will be digital painting, Gif / cartoon creations, some traditional studies, also projects studying human anatomy, basic elements of design and composition. Things like, how does line quality effect a piece, how do elements like foreground, midground, and background play in relation to each other. What is Chirascaro and other effects in art. These things and just giving feedback to anyone who just wants it on their own peices will be found in here. Please only for beginners.

Movie Quote Quiz.

Alrighty. Here is character I´m currently working on:

The setting for this character is supposed to be a kind of post appocalyptic fairytale, and he is the last soldier of a devastated army. He has been so gravely wounded in combat that hes had to replace his arm with a mechanical one. I´m looking for ways to make the back-story of the character a bit more interesting (and have that show in his costume), and any ideas would be appreciated.

The first thing I thought Id work on is a new version of the arm to make it look more like clockwork than armor plating:

I was thinking that it should look bulky an have a irregular outline, so that it would apear to have been assembled haphazardly. But I also want it to look like its acctually complex enough to work. So I might have to balance those things against each other.

Looking forward to your input!

the watchdog

An image i just finished and i want some feed back on it.how it looks the feel,love it or hate it.really going for a dark room and the dog is just growling at something when the door opens.tell me if you like how hes painted and the general atmosphe any tips would alo be appreacited.program used was photoshop.

Pumkin Head

This is a sketch I did for the DSG, (Daily Sketch Group) on ca.org.
