all challenges ends thursday night right? and since this is the rebels, agree with xhastex ther, why not adjust and do deadline every friday night instead so it wont conflict with the weekly, for those who are participating here too. and since the is a topic already set in, and no need to wait for the winner to set it up, the next challenge be started, thursday midnight and to give everybody ample time to think and participate, and inviting more to join. so by friday morning, giving everybody a head start. just a suggestion.

    eaglecaslte - thanks

xhastex - thanks too and yup, im adding the background. great update ther, good to see you;ve added depth to you image.could use a tiny-winy bit more addring contrast to the foreground beast.

thegurch - thanks. its a goodthing in zbrush, there are load of ways to rig or to pose them without importing them to another software. if your intentions are just to re-pose them. but rigging for animation, with my little knowledge is concerned, i think not. you could your ure zspheres created for the model to act as its bone and rig it, or the zspheres again as topology method then be as the rig and lastly, just masking method to move each parts. loads of ways.

    here is my last WIP

added my bg, imported to photoshop it. painted the ground using custom brushes as added textures and will continue with the rest. hope i get this done in time.

    crits and comment welcome!

Phew thanks xHaStex you're a star, i was a tad concerned because the date were wrong wrong wrong  and sat here and feared that the time space continuum had been proper mucked up. People would be bumping into themselves from behind and the birds would be flying backward and everything and the whole world would be say tsktsk tsk those Bi-weekly rebels and their crazy stunts. As im up next i thought i would get blamed.....again.
Okay, so after midnight tonight i set mine up its cool. Again thanks bud.

Great looking beastie Jeff, i find creature with no arms tend to have a really ferocious and more animalistic quality to them.
He looks like he takes no prisoners, the only thing i would offer up in the way of crit would be to say that its a shame that your picture has nothing in it to reference the size. Im just trying to gauge how big his bite is.

Have to agree with Jeff on the timing of the votes, also thought there could be longer given to voting as there's no great hurry to set up the next challenge.

Thanks Charco, thanks to everyone, I see several people enjoy my Goat Sucker. I couldn't quite get him done in time, so I will have to add it to my growing pile of unfinished work. I see so many great pieces were created for this challenge, I better hurry over to the final thread hopefully I haven't missed voting.

Bunny Bunny I been thinking, what the heck have you been drinking?
Looks like water tastes like wine, Oh my God it's turpentine!

You guys did amazing work while I was away.  I loved flipping through here.
Unfortunately, I didn't have an internet connection, but I was thinking about you all and this challenge.
Here's what I was playing with in my DS.  So I participated in Spirit.  Wink

    Well thank you very much.
I honestly got in a bit of trouble, when I was at a coffee house I tried to get a quick peek of what was going on in the forums, and my wife was none too pleased since we were on vacation.  Wink

Real life has a habit of spoiling my fun too. Like going to work to earn a crust, when I should be painting. It must be good to be paid to create art.

I've often thought the same thing... But no one is knocking down my door to paint and sculpt for a living.

Art just might stop being fun if our livelihoods depended upon it. So lets be grateful for having such a wonderful thing in our lives.
