Ben Templesmith would be another great horror artist to put in there.

Josh Kirby was already featured in a previous issue. Not that I wouldn't be happy to see more of him in the mag.

Yep what about Basil Gogos from the famous monsters of filmland fame. He was incredible. All those model kit boxes were inspired by his artwork.  I dunno is he still alive?

I was just about to reply to this and then it was gone! Oh yeah I remember: My memory only remembers what I don't want to remember, such as annoying songs from tv adverts and bad pop videos.Huh?

Hey lets not forget those wicked EC horror comics. I devoured them, the art was a trick n treat for the eyes. I have had a passion for twisted tales since these books.(Did anyone else come across the Pacific comic book line of Twisted Tales? Corbon, Bolton, and a whole stack of other big names at their maggoty best.)
Its a list of who's who, it is
    ...Jack Davis amazing lanky figures.
George Evan so skilfully and perfectly drawn.
Ghastly Graham Ingles, now i didn't like his style but it had a certain charm, especially the line of spit he always drew in a screaming mouth.
Basil wolvertons fine detailed crazy looking strips.
Ooh Wally Wood he epitomised the 60s sci-fi look.
This was the height of comic books if you ask me...just before they banned them.
Not forgettingCreepshow was a living comic book version of the EC line.

OH yes Bernie Wrigthson is the undisputed master of the macabre, big influence on me too Starfox, how special were those Frankenstein illustrations?
Most of his comic work was horror related

congrats on the honourable mention by Marvel Claire. saw your little snippit on the main page there and clicked the link for a read. Smile

I still collect quite a few Marvel comics these days but I'd have to say I've been slipping to the dark side of DC for a little while now. Hmmm....that gives me reason for a whole nother thread. Stick out tongue
