    Re: ImagineFX issue 50

Gosh, I got a bit tearful reading some of your comments (I haven't had a lot of sleep recently. *cough*). I'm not going to lie to you, issue 50 was a 'heart-breaker and life-taker' of an issue... with a fair bit of emotional, spiritual and physical trauma to get it to the printers.

But all those tears will be lost in time... like, er rain in... no, that's not it. Anyways, you know what I'm trying to say. It makes it all worth while knowing that you lot are really digging the issue.

Andrew has done us proud with the cover image. We always knew it was going to be stunning, but when the final image turned up in our inbox we didn't expect such a breathtaking interpretation of the brief. [the first time you notice the second set of eyes... wow, it's like the whole image shape-shifts character].

So, what bits of the magazine are you loving the most?

I've already read Craig's interview twice (three times if you count when I was designing the pages). And I'm really pleased with the District 9 feature - that was quite a little 'life journey' Claire went on to put that together - Greg and the other WETA chaps are really open about the design process, which is really quite refreshing.

So - Issue 50, its a shame she won't live forever, but then agai... oh, I'm just gunna stop the Blade Runner quotes.

Little confession of sorts. I bought Issue 50 in the shops today. After following Claries advise and checking my subscription info online I found my sub had been deleted. I soon realised why. My Ex Girlfriend had still been paying for my sub (after over a year).

So that said my copies have always arrived swiftly. I'll need to go get a new sub sorted out soon.

Oh and great issue! Congratulations to all those who entered the cover comp. Worthy winner, even if I didn't get to see it on the back cover.

    So Cheers guys, Happy 50th!
Yeah likewise, my bookshelf is groaning with back issues I'll need to appropriate a couple of Beloved's showboxes. I'm looking forward to seeing your art contributions too. I remember when you were a mod here for ten minutes.

Yea, sadly that's what happens when life gets in the way. I was moderating at a time when the forum was new and didn't seem to really need too much moderation, and I kind of just got sidetracked and when I finally came back it was months later. Glad to see that the forum picked up though :)

I'd like to see the Live Chat, IRC room become active...I would drop in from time to time. A ventrilo chat would also be nice, but that's something to think about when the forum becomes a bit more active and bigger I guess. ;)

What about the third set of peepers?

I can see the second set of eyes, the butterfly-esque eyes that are set apart wider than the true eyes from the face. I still haven't gotten it in the mail yet, but are you talking about the white eyes at the very top center with the skull as being the third?

    Re: ImagineFX issue 50

those are the same two I saw as well. I can see the two white dots that could be eyes on the skull. I also see 1 bit to the left of the medalion on her forehead that could be seen as an eye as well except there's no matching one on the other side.

    Re: ImagineFX issue 50

There was so much great work for the issue 50 cover contest. I'm really inspired to take part in the new contest advertised on pg. 28 of issue 50, but the link it gives to download the cover template says the competition is closed. Anyone know what's up with that? Or maybe someone has the template they can send to me?

The template for the competition is on the disc that comes with the mag under the resources section.
