    Hey all,

I'm Paul. I'm cool. Well, not really and I'm out of words that rhyme (well, not really but don't want to stretch patience too far...) Been lurking for a while (surprisingly lacking in confidence when it comes to joining in with new stuff) but always happy to see what others are doing and getting crit and suggestions on my stuff.

Anyhow I'm a writer at times, doodler at others, teach graphic design at an art college which is in the process of shutting down its art depts and youth work for a couple of county councils. When I'm making arty things I tend to use Photoshop but have given up on that a little to move onto first Pixelmator (which I prefer) and now Brushes on the iPod (which I LOVE :) ) ((Really hope we do se an Apple tablet in Jan as I'm beginning to get rsi from working on such a small screen :) ))

Um. Can't think of anything else to say. Blog at kercal.wibsite.com if'n anyone's interested.

Hi. I'm Louise. I've only just started getting the magazine - but already it's got me hooked! - I'm a part time creative Pa, and also a traditional illustrator. I've recently bought a graphics tablet and now am struggling with the urge to change everything whilst keeping to my traditional roots.

I do intend to post some work in progress ... at some point

    Lou

Hi everyone. My name is Mark Hammermeister. I'm an illustrator by night, graphic designer by day from beautiful Detroit, MI. I used to work all in vectors before I went gaga over digital painting a few months ago. Now I'm hooked. You'll see a lot of my work leans towards doing caricatures; that's something I've done since I was wee lad just out of high school. But being a card-carrying member of the geek club I also like to paint zombies, superheroes and all sorts of other cool stuff in Photoshop and sometimes Painter. Thanks in advance for wasting your valuable time checking me out.

    Re: New Members Introduce Yourselves!

    First post for me then.

You can probably tell from my user name what I'll be masqurading around on Imagine FX as. I have been reading for a few issues now and decided to interact a little. I hope over time I can improve what little skill I have and post up some WIPs or sketches of some kind, hopefully to positive praise.

    Re: New Members Introduce Yourselves!

    Greetings!

I've been reading ImagineFX for about a year now (well, whenever I can grab an issue from Borders, that is).

I'm a 2d animator (primarily Flash) by trade.  I've worked on a lot of small cartoons (including work for Spike TV, Comcast and the game on the 20th Anniversary Princess Bride DVD for those of you who have it). My current job focuses more on the development side of Flash (for online homeschooling), so my creative tendencies really haven't gotten the attention they deserve since graduating college three years ago.

I've been trying to get back into illustration like I used to - you'd never see me without pencil and paper - but its been kind of an uphill battle, especially considering I'm trying to do so by way of digital painting; I never was much of a traditional painter, so its a major learning curve!   ImagineFX has helped me get into the growing universe that is digital art, has answered a lot of questions, and given me a lot of inspiration for future endeavors.  I'm looking forward to growing as an artist and falling back in love with the world of illustration, with the help and future friendships of everyone on these boards.

Nice to meet you!  I've seen a lot of your work before - there's an illustration group at my work and we recently studied your caricatures.  Wonderful stuff.

You're welcome!  Actually, by "NOVA", I mean Northern Virginia, and those are Matt's illustrations, i was only quoting him - but I'd love to say they were mine :)  I'll be posting mine at some point!

Brand new to the ImagineFX boards!

My name is Lake and I'm from California. I now pursue concept art, fine art, and illustration at the Conceptart.org Atelier in San Francisco. I enjoy working in many mediums, but pencil is the one that has stuck with me. I do fine art, concept art, and traditional art!

    Re: New Members Introduce Yourselves!

    Hi!

My names George, I'm 25, unemployed, and I'm a writer. Well, I'm really a musician, but I'm currently co-writing a new British comic called EXISLES along with Stephen Greaves and a great artist Andrew Swingler. Im enjoying the challenges faced when making something like a comic book, and trying to get a story to flow whilst merging the pictures and words is hard work but we've just got our first issue out online now and its been worth the trials!

Anyway, you can find the comic book here:

    http://www.exisles.co.uk

And you can find our artists portfolio here:

Thanks for having me on the forums!
