As for me, I actually joined the IFX com a while ago and have been quietly lurking since so today I thought I'd drop by this thread and properly introduce myself, and hopefully be more active from now on! 

My name's Chrissy, I am 15 and I hail from Sydney, Australia.

I am quite new to the magazine but I am an absolute art fanatic and I found it very entertaining and filled with lovely tips. The IFX community seems like a genuinely friendly bunch and I can spend a very long time just browsing the site looking at everything [this may or may not be a good thing ^^;]

I love to experiment with art so I practice with both traditional and digital mediums, I try to do a bit of everything but mainly realism, anime/manga art, animation [2d] and recently, fashion illustration. If anything I have high expectations so the need for improvement is always there~!

Well my tablet finally arrived on Friday so I can officially join the forums!

Erm me? I'm sure I'm in the shall we say older age group on here! Been drawing all my life and am lucky enough to work in a creative industry but alas, not designing aliens for big budget blockbusters, at least not yet. I've been a fan of the magazine for some time and generally read it with the attitude of 'I can do that', so now I should technically put my money where my mouth is and do some art! So hopefully I should be posting something for crit soon, would be interested to get some feedback from those in the game.

Hi folks *waves*. Well a little about me, my name is Paul, I'm 28 and live in the UK I have just been bitten by the art bug (once again). I have been pencil drawing on and off for years but have never really taken it seriously. Four years ago my wife came down ill with severe M.E. and between looking after her and my stepson I have found myself more and more needing the release/focus art provides. I am taking my first steps into the world of CG art, inspired to do so by the magazine :) so I hope you'll be gentle with me. I have every intention of becoming world famous, an inspiration to generations to come, but I promise not to let the fame and fortune go to my head :D
