One thing I've missed while working on the sketch challenge was having the time to work on real pictures -- I'm just not a very fast painter and by the end of the day I'm usually too drained or short on time to do much more than some practice pieces.  So... in these few precious days after the game's turned in and before the next class, I took a little time to make something a little nicer. :D  See, I am learning to use my tablet!

Today hasn't been the best day.  I started this challenge to learn to draw better.  I know I have and I had planned on starting to draw figures this  month.  Yet today there were too many interruptions.  Life intruded too much.  So I pulled out the tablet and tried painter  again.  I have come to the conclusion that I have no hand eye coordination.  I'm sorry about tonight offering.  It's painted in painter.

Thanks Nimh for checking out my picture.  I had fun making it.

The acorns are from what I think is a scrub oak.  It's not one of the big valley oaks that dot the valley here.  Right now though the tree is dropping acorns.

Your sketch is touching and subtle, Nightsong.  I like the expression.

    #11!
I blame too much God of War demo playing, as all I really wanted to toy with painting was Helios. Poor, poor Helios. :l

Well, this is only roughly based off of him anyway.

It takes a while to get used to drawing on a tablet while looking at the screen cinadisilver. We all know how frustraiting it can be, so don't feel too disheartened, just keep plugging away and it eventually gets easier.

ExiLi, I believe the only way to post multiple images is if you are posting a link to an external site, such as fileshack or your own website, otherwise I think you can only post 1 image at a time. When I have a couple of days worth of sketches to post I take them into photoshop and stick them all together to create one image.

Tonights is decidedly meh. Let down again by my inability to use deep shadows/colours. On the plus side, I finally joined the revolution and created a deviantART account so I can access senshistocks pictures again :)

    Day 228/228

You're getting some good depth in your forest scene rcallicotte. The colors are really great too.
