Emilia's got it spot on. I love what she's done with the hair which is more in tune to what I was suggesting you go back to in one of your earlier pieces.

Ok...I took your advices in consideration and did some more tweaking. I also figured it would be much easier to shade the body is I knew the general layout, i.e. where the light bounces off etc., so I painted the background. It so hard...but I`m not giving up. I SHALL BE VICTORIUS!

I like the touch ups you've done on the body and I like the clouds along or fog along bottom but the arch itself seems a little confining to me. it really seems to be taking away from the focus on the woman herself.

LOL that "fog" was supposed to be SNOW! Well, at least I found a good brush for painting clouds...

lol. coming along nicely. I did like the outfit when it was the aqua blue colour but the addition of the second arm I think was needed. looking much better with it there.

I don't think it's all that bad, especially for 20 min. your proportions seem to be fine and your colours are ok. only thing I'd say at this point is to take a look at the hands. the one on the right seems a little too small.

Latest WIP, decided to combine anatomy study and some creativity. The Ice Queen is still sitting on my HD. I printed it out and showed to my classmates/professor, and the response was - make the legs longer! Oh dear...

I dunno. I kinda like the length of the legs. do the 'head' measurement Pxel. I can't remember how many heads tall the legs are supposed to be off the top of my head but find out and measure it out, see how close you are. I think they look great the length they are though.

I hate to say it, but your eskimo is quite out of proportion all over...here is what is supposed to happen...an ideal human is 8 heads(but some people are 7-7.5 heads), here are some guidelines...
Here I found a little guidline in google that might be useful as I can see that your male character is also too short....oh by the way, for the paintover I also fixed the lady's leg as she didn't have a knee and also centered her other leg more
Thank you, Emilia! I knew something was off, I just had no idea THAT MUCH of it was in the wrong place! And could you believe it, I actually have Loomis` book where proportions are explained...well, back to the sweatshop.
