well, I'm going to start by trying 2.5 and if it's good... They'd better give us a release date soon on the third! Does anyone know how much it's going to cost (more or less)?
They said it would cost a bit more than the last version, but since that was next to nothing I guess it'll be next to something. :D They seem to be a company who strive to make software affordable for everyone so if they are putting the price up slightly, it can only mean 1 thing in my eyes - this is going to be a huge update! 2.5 is wonderful, I hope you enjoy.
No one can say for sure. From two weeks ago - 14/8/09
Nickillus:
Just gone into beta10, and sticking more
plasters on any quirks and bugs. It' getting much closer - honest. It
is taking a bit longer than I thought it would, based on the noises the
dedicated team were making a while ago. it is a major overhaul though
and bound to have a few teething troubles. They want as many ironed
out before they lay it before us. They've finished the interface and
the functionality is all in place. Just bugs and wrinkles left . . .
. I will keep you posted as and when I'm allowed say anything.
according to the new mag its due for release mid november... cant wait I say. Nicks doing a full review for the next mag apparently ;) "what do you mean...I stopped thinking, therefore I disapeared?"
Have found this ArtRage-Forum. In the moment I paint my new work for the first time just with ArtRage 2.5. I have fun with it! Let me just say and wish that
the makers of ArtRage give the programm more power and make it faster, and some tools more like a round softener. Im ready to pay a bit more for a profi upgrade of
never had problem with the speed.. on my machine it works as fast as I can, no lag, no waiting, unlike photoshop that does occasionally slow down. "what do you mean...I stopped thinking, therefore I disapeared?"
No, I have problems with it lagging on me as well. Mostly when working with the layers though not so much when just using the tools. I did hear that the new artrage has been sped up quite a bit though, and that the new tools are really nice. I only need a better blender and some different shaped oil brushes and I'll be happy.
I smell dead people.
My big question about ArtRage 3 is... Is it better then SketchBook Pro 2009 in terms of Pencil Sketchs and Inking? 2.5 to me couldn't match the quality, especially without the select tool.
