Hail countryman, he he, lots of ideas..too many to finish at the same time eh? Ha, i've been there :)  its just too much for our little hands to handle he he :)

About your last i would put her cute ofspring trying to catch up with her.. or maybe having her roar, protecting some injured companion against fierce oposition, with all the rain and drama...er...he he just an idea mate, you keep at it!

    Cheers :)

Hail there fellow man of the country... nice mood difference eh? (naaaaaah...)

Thanks for the reply, really!!! I was thinking of something out of that but you really turned the thing for me! Thanks a great lot man!

P.S. - If you could show me a place like IFX forums but more "tuga", it would be much appreciated! Not that I dislike IFX forums, but I'd like to have more interaction with other creatives from PT! Thanks man, indeed thanks!

Re: Draemar's WIPs Maze - A Dragon Issue

Yeah i would like a place like that too, but i can't find one either...i've seen a couple of very nice artists from portugal here but i don't know of a more tuga place...there's a couple of other places like epilogue, pixelbrush and conceptart but this is the place with more "action" in the forums that i know of....conceptart has lots of action too but maybe for a more "professional" audience, ocasionally i drop by as well....

Anyway if you find such a place let me know, keep at it :)

Re: Draemar's WIPs Maze - A Dragon Issue

So before I get back to that dragon, here's a bit of something as to environment... I think!

Got this Idea of a large citadel, built on a cliff and fed in it's power needs by this waterfall that I hadn't drew yet!

My main issue is relative to composition, hope to get some feedback as to that in particular!

Be well, all of ya! ;)

Re: Draemar's WIPs Maze - A Dragon Issue

Hail countryman :) How are things?

About your last one, you'll do it monochromatic? or perhaps try some more tones there? that morning sun is really asking for some color :) The rest is looking nice and "moody"

Maybe later on add some birds flying near the "city", they fit a scenario such as this i think, and maybe some green bits on the rocky wall, near the watter...don't know, just my two cents..

    Keep at it :)

    Nice to see ya countryman!

Thanks a lot for the remarks on the picture! And yeah, I got some ideas that come very close to what you said as to lighting and all, plus, I'm gonna try to achieve a kind of matte painting with this one, might take some time...  Heck it'll be an eternity, let's see if the challenge keeps up with the will! ;)

Re: Draemar's WIPs Maze - A Dragon Issue

I know this is a WIP so it might not be fair to say this, but the structure and the cliff, while at the same plane, is not in the same focus - the cliff looks too blurry.

Also, the structure is not properly lit. Where is the light source? It seems rather improbable how the colums underneath the structures don't catch any shadow and in some instances as bright as the lights from the windows. But this is overall an lighting issue so you just need to really sort out where the light is coming from.

Re: Draemar's WIPs Maze - A Dragon Issue

True thing Yian! The thing is, I'm on the perspective of a principal light coming from "out the screen", being it a sunset/sunrise from the opposite direction of the cliff! I can see the trouble you're pointing, but haven't quite decided on what to do! As to also relative to being sunrise/cold or "fresh" colors. Or more saturated, warm sunset! This is my reading of sunlight in its extremes! Warm=Sunset - Cold=sunrise. Don't know if right, but that's the feeling I have!

And the fact that the cliff is blurry is of mistake of mine by caring too much about  the citadel's aesthetics! Now I know what to care the most about! ;)

Re: Draemar's WIPs Maze - A Dragon Issue

I'd say both dusk and dawn would be warm in colour. So far I have been imagining moon light coming from the left side inthis picture...

Re: Draemar's WIPs Maze - A Dragon Issue

SO here's some more to it. Been having less time to do it than expected, but here we are.

Tried to add a bit more color interest  to the scene and the citadel is stopped as for now! Will do make for the sunrise thing!

Thanks for the support you people! Big Smile

Re: Draemar's WIPs Maze - A Dragon Issue

I think it looks nice with the colour (no longer a moonlight feeling :) )

About the citadel though, it looks like only the mid-part is coloured and it's grey on both sides. While I like how some parts stand out, I think I'd like to see a wee bit of colour on at least some of the structures on the sides too...

Re: Draemar's WIPs Maze - A Dragon Issue

Sure thing voluspa! Just haven't dedicated me time on to that, I'm thinking of adding maybe a bit more buildings along with the color you're asking!

Still, I'm not entirely happy about the color! So any crit more on that or help would be most appreciated! Thanks fro passing by! ;)

    Soooooo...

    Helloooooo...

A bit more insight on to this as to color and... As far as this; I Like it!

Added shadows to the waterfall, detail to the clif, and next, the citadel will be... different!

Kind regards to those who crit!
