Rounding the home stretch here I think. I'd like to add more detail to make the scene more interesting but I'm not sure where yet. Thanks for the critiques everybody, I think I covered most of them.

Yes, but that is probably only a story, the blodloss after such a massive amputation would have caused the amazon´s death for sure. Besides; girls kan shoot bow and arrow excellently with both tits intact !

The spanish conquistadors claimed to have encountered a tribe of female warriors on their first journeys along the river they named Amazonas for that reason. That tribe has not been seen since - Perhaps just another myth or perhaps the spaniards misstok small-grown indians for women.

The "real" amazons in history seem to have lived in Asia Minor where graves have been found containing females who have been buried togetheter with their swords, bows and other weapons. The bones has injuries from combat. Their men were buried with - mirrors !

These female warriors was contemporary with the ancient greecs who feared them, and invented all kind of ridiculous stories about them.

I studied a little bit about the Amazons, Hippolyta, Antiope etc. I want to play as I've not done a competition before and was going to draw the Achilles scene when he kills Penthesilea as she was meant to be a tad stunning, but then I remembered what Achilles was meant to have done to her after she died, not so beautiful.

Still, I might and just do the bit before that bit. I'll be back with a wip tomorrow if my parent duties don't get in the way.
