I think I'll do a Kongamato - Flying Demon of the Forbidden Swamp.

In 1923 a traveler by the name of Frank H. Melland worked for a time in Zambia. He gathered native reports of ferocious flying reptiles. The natives called this creature kongamato ("overwhelmer of boats"), which was said to have lived in the Jiundu swamps in the Mwinilunga District in western Zambia, near the border of Congo and Angola. It was described as having no feathers at all, smooth skin, a wingspan between 4 ft. and 7 ft., and possessing a beak full of teeth. They were usually described as black or red. It had a reputation for capsizing canoes and causing death to anyone who merely looked at it. When showed drawings of pterosaurs

"... every native present immediately and unhesitatingly picked it out and identified it as a kongamato. Among the natives who did so was a headman from the Jiundu country, where the kongamato is supposed to be active, and who is a rather wild and quite unsophisticated native."

     here's my first WIP

Fillen that looks great, one of my favorite pieces of yours so far, very nice use of color to bring a lot of attention to the squid.

Bunny Bunny I been thinking, what the heck have you been drinking?
Looks like water tastes like wine, Oh my God it's turpentine!

I'm trying to decide if the little fairies should be tortured like my quickie blue guy bottom left, or more serene like the top left, or kind of dessicated and in betweenish like the top right one.

    Any thoughts?

Oh, and Gurch, I'll try my best to remember to post the darned thing before the deadline this time.  I think I'll make myself post it the day before, since I'm usually rather busy at 4pm pacific time, and evening is my usual working time.

     here is another update

    wip2A.jpg picture by jeffmd4i

    link: http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p159/jeffmd4i/wip2A.jpg

exported the image to ps then sketched over to give me a better direction and aid me faster in sculpting. extruded the jaw a little bit from what I have Sketched previously. I dont want it to have a dragon or dino's head. happy with the overall look and shape for now. will now be starting with the details and skin textures.

    crits and comments welcome!

    Cheers!

I said earlier that I feared there was a poor turn out for this challenge.  No matter who joins late the quality looks to make up for the quantity.

Like the point of view Critical, looking good so far.
