For those of you who don't know about this, we are going to have a bi-weekly challenge to depict a tarot card from the Major Arcana. This will last approximately a year. At the end of the year we will have the full Major Arcana. Two separate wips and a final image are required for entry. The WIPS must be posted in the WIP thread and links to be posted in the FINAL thread (here)
The final image must be in the form of a card, with the card name and number, not just a painting I will give you a brief meaning, but it's probably a good idea to do your own research.

I love the style and colours of the upper part of Komu's card, but it feels less finished than Heimdayel's, so it comes in second this time. :) One thing about your card, Komu, is I can't quite "read" the feet of the character... I guess they may be very small on purpose but it's hard to see the shape in general, I think. Otherwise, both cards are really lovely!
Voluspa, thanks for the valuable comment :) I will see what I can do to improve this piece later on.
1. Heimdayel
Your attention to detail is wonderful, and I especially like the feathers - and the texture you managed to introduce there. They have a very tangible feel, especially with the lighter translucent parts. The 'bleeding in' of the reds and blues paid off well, too. When this contest is over, I really hope you'll put your tarot deck up for viewing somewhere. It's very consistent in style; it would make a great deck.
lovely colours and lighting, all with a challenging pose - imho the feet are readable enough with rough shapes and subtle highlights to further define them;her right foot seems a tad short though, with her legwrap ending right at the toes' base (seems to go to about the middle of the foot's arch on her left leg)
the full deck is already up on my carbonmade..though I guess I should put it up somewhere here too when the two other cards are done...kind of smallish though and not up to date (tweaked a couple cards)
Don't know if I'm too late but awesome work from both!
1 komugurakingdom Beautifully painted & balanced composition. Honestly not seeing an issue with the size & shape of the feet :) They are consistent with the stylization of the whole image for me.
