    Tarot Bi-Weekly Challenge #20 - Temperance - WIPS

    For those of you who don't know about this, we are going to have a bi-weekly challenge to depict a tarot card from the Major Arcana. This will last approximately a year. At the end of the year we will have the full Major Arcana. Two separate wips and a final image are required for entry. The WIPS must be posted in the WIP thread and links to be posted in the FINAL thread 

    The final image must be in the form of a card, with the card name and number, not just a painting 
    I will give you a brief meaning, but it's probably a good idea to do your own research.

    Divinatory meaning

    Upright - Combination.  Co-operation.  Co-ordination.  Innovation through combination.  Diplomacy.  Successful Negotiations.  Maturity in dealing with certain matters.  A placid, balanced temperament and good outlook.  Meaning literally, temperance in the sense of harmony and balance.  good management.  An ability to adapt to changing circumstances

    This challenge ends midnight Friday 18th January we will then vote for the winning card, and then on to the next one

    My first few doodles. The background will most likely be muted down, and some details added. This was a surprisingly fast setup though...

     looking awesome komu

    wednesday already, need to post a second wip - looking sooo different across two screens...feels like the metal and the colours are too bright :(  (don't want to overwork it either...); on a lighter note, the original Judgement kept bothering me - more precisely his face and cloth...and that wave, should've listened to a_curious_twitch much earlier; worked on it a bit in between wips

    The second one feels very balanced to me. Then again, this is checked on my laptop and not on one of my proper screens, so I'll let you know how it looks there ;) Judgement and Temperance have a lot in common, I never noticed it before. But they both look very good! It would be really nice to let the reds and blues reflect in the armour a little.

    thanks for checking :D (looks fine on my laptop screen too *shakes fist at desktop*) - yup, Judgement, Justice and Temperance all feature those herald archangels, same armor&robes etc.. they only have their wings and some stuff they carry to differentiate them

    will add a bit of bounced colour to the metal, and maybe redo the face, colour looks off a bit
