Greetings everyone!

We here at Ravenwolf Studios are currently seeking an Concept Artist to contribute to a musically enhanced animated sci-fi project entitled "Sentients" This is a project that is heavily influenced by original music. The art is a visual driving experience for the musical production.

Responsibilities

• Work quickly and effectively and contribute to project progress
• Collaborate with Art Director & Creators throughout the project
• Work closely with the Art Director to create concepts detailing environments, characters, and technology.
• Work with the Art Director to keep the project on track and stress free by meeting deadlines and managing workload effectively

Qualifications

• Have a love for creating detailed organics, bio-organics, sci-fi tech, architecture, and aliens
• Able to demonstrated outstanding traditional drawing skills, painting(traditional and/or digital)
• Expert level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop
• Self-starting and organization is a must
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and superior people skills to work in a creative and positive manner with the team
• Ability and willingness to create characters that do not follow traditional art styles. Ultimately taking them to a new visual direction not seen by the masses
• A love of music and an openness to new music to help drive the creativity of the project

Portfolio Showcase

• We would like a link to an online portfolio that is up to date. We will be looking for consistency in completing work on a normal basis. The ability to produce in a timely manner.

That's the first time I've seen an invitation to negotiate the rate around here. In the past when similar opportunities popped up you had to wait until the tenth post before you found out the artist was expected to do the job for nothing...

Thank you for your thoughts Bob. I appreciate it. Honestly, it should always be considered. Especially when building budgets and respecting the artist in their worth. I guess the difference may be that I am an artist as well. I understand how the industry can be. Both the ups and downs. I have been on the receiving end of doing work only to be duped, not paid, or if paid... very miniscule considering the work done in the end.

I can appreciate all aspects of gaining proper footing when it comes to working for yourself and others. Be well.
