    latest batch of lifedrawings done in my last couple of sessions;

    40 minute pose done in charcoal;

    some 10 minute gestures done in ink;

    Unfortunately they're all took on my handy camera phone. I got the bornw sketchbook from the other local art schools inhouse shop, pleased with it thus far. Maybe when i can be arsed ill scan in some more from that, i have a couple more pages done.

    thanks for the comments aswell guys.

    well i've only just got them so dont really know. But, The colerase blue pencil is used by animators for setting down guidelines and underdrawings, it rubs out 100% like normal pencil and is used because blue is REALLY easy to get rid of in photoshop (so no messy lines).

    The brush pen is basically i flexible marker which has the feel of brush and inkwell, but with no going back to the inkwell! or mess.

    Oh! I have tons of those "brush pens" but that blue pencil I must get... seems really cool and easy way to make sketches and then clean the stuff up photoshop etc... the ways you described. Thanks. You gave me lots of useful information.

    I really like your paintings, you got the sense of color and giving volume to shapes.

    Your drawings still need work though. You should use bigger paper and charcoal to loosen up your hand. Don't draw with your wrist, use your whole arm. Most of the time its either proportion problems or your lines are too stiff.

     Well it all needs practice, but you should really try to loosen up your lines and work on line weight. Do a lot of work from referances, but don't just copy everything you do from somewhere else. It'll kill your imagination and block you from drawing from imagination. But its still essencial for understanding anatomy and the relation between things...

    Keep it up!

    I love the last two portraits :)
