Great going on the value study! You should really do more of these for improvement, drawing out of your mind wont give you as high quality as this study drawing you've done, so just keep drawing from reference at the moment and you are on the right path to improving even more...Smile

Embarrassed Thanks! I don`t know if I`ve learned anything though, I just focused on "nailing" the face...could have use a soft edged brush and a texture brush, though...oh well, some other day Big Smile

Decided to take a break from writing an essay on Tim Burton`s costimography and have another go with Tink. Fixed the anatomy a bit, the shading as well...but still a lot of work left to do. I really don`t know if I should turn it into greyscale and continue with the shading, especially since I`ve put so much time in color...ugh...

Has anyone maybe seen an image/photo of a woman in a pose like this? I could really use some reference help...

    Right here...

The guy is my hero...The "reference" I used is Danielle, the blonde character on the left...I like this one, even though it has nothing to do with my own creativity, but my professor said to "copy those who know how - the masters", and so I did...it will take a lot of time for me to be able to pull out something like this out of my head, but it`s all about baby steps..baby steps! Smile

i really like how your style is developing. those referanced studies seem to be pushing you harder, and great job on them by the way. your values are looking much better as well, especially on that last one. very well defined. keep it up man!

Re: At Pxel Slayers, where fun never ends!

Awww, thanks, people! It`s really nice to read comments like this. I DO enjoy this, especially that "tricky" part of "nailing" it right, with proportions, expressions etc. I still have a long way to go (I`m having rather large problem at working out details and giving an image that final, clean and sharp look), but I guess that will come with time, patience and practice. True, due to my lack of anatomy studies, ATM I can just paint what I can see, w/o really understanding what is what I see, but I`ll nail those anatomy issues, just you wait! Big Smile

Oh, does anybody have a good tutorial on painting super realistic fire, step-by-step? I have a little project in my mind that I`m going to tackle as soon as I find some time...

Well, I`m off to class in a cheerful mood, thanks to you! Cool

Anther update...and I REALLY could use your help...does she seem too flat? Is the anatomy ok? CC people, please, I really want to finish this one...

OT - I did go to my class in a cheerful mood and ended up being in a traffic accident. Luckally, there were no injured people, my tram just "picked up" a front part of a car...oh well...
