Just thought I'd put a mention in for nomination of MSE-6 as the most understated robot ever:

I'll tell you some robots that used to scare the *** out of me - I remember they were called "cleaners" in doctor who when I was a kid - can't find an image of them online :( but according to imdb they were "Megapodic Z7 robotic cleaners" also found out it was 1987 which made me 6, I think I was *** scared of 'em, because I never forgot that episode! I also think there was a robot mr basset sweetie thing, which was pretty freaky. Damn wish I could get some pics :)

Oh lol - that certainly looks the right shape - but I thought they were huge, and they were in big tunnels - could be wrong though. Christ, I bet they're just stupid looking and not scary at all =)

LOL. No, that sounds about right. I'm trying to track down an image. Best I can find is an arm.

what about Robin Willaims or should that be Robot Willaims, i forget the title but he played this robot with emotion , endearing but annoying at the same time. Oh wait Bicentenary Man i think that was the title.

Was that a good movie? I vaguely remember it, but don't remember it being good.

Hrm, so many to choose from... What, no transformers in this list yet? What about the squid from the matrix! Those ace looking hovering robots from Terminator 3? HK47? Gonk Bot! KITT! Gir! Big Dog! Roombas!

     I'm shouting a little, I can't decide a favorite, they all rule.

Robots 'aint for me. All the robots I like aren't actually robots. For instance the Terminator, or the Daleks.

    Re: My favourite robot?

I was just going to say the Terminator, he's a robot isnt he? Well the skeleton with the red eyes is an awesome design. I hope the new movie will be a good un.

My other fave robot is Kryten 2X4B-523P. Cool
