sw33t ed...cool work...both work well...but i get why you might not work with the zbrush model...it can be dang time consuming when your trynna blend your 3D with ya paint....

Exactly what I was thinking! Not enough time to create the rest of the rock face in Zbrush, Darn it may not have enough time to do without either LOL

Oh and for the fun of it here's the start of a futuristic city created entirely in Autocad (must be mad, right?)

Another quick wip.  Tweaked the sky some more (created in Vue, imported to ps), added texture detail to the main demon figure and added his handler....general detail to mountains and crowd.

Re: MyFX challenge #78: Paradise Lost. WIP Thread

    Hi all,

    Some great images developing here.....

Dusted down my pencil and drew this sketch last night!...also gone for the Milton route....a fallen angel (could be Satan) looking up to paradise from where he was thrown out. Reference used, I will credit the photograher when finished, have his permission...gonna throw some heavy, atmospheric lighting onto it and hopefully it will come together in time!

Don't know if I should put a spear in his hand or not as it will fall across the front of his body?,...any suggestions welcomed.

Re: MyFX challenge #78: Paradise Lost. WIP Thread

dmarshallarts- agree with xHaStex; cool sketch.  I would be inclined to put something into the other hand if only to balance the shield on the left arm.  Leaves you wondering why he has a shield at all otherwise.  Alter the arm if the spear or whatever gets in the way.

xHaStex-  Coming on nicely. Nice 'painterly' except for the plam silhouette.  Stands out a bit harsh.  Do you intend softening this?

Ed- blend the 3D.  Go on you know it makes sense...Wink

Devil_Dog- Blimey that was quick work!  Nice image.

One more update (can you spot what I've addedStick out tongue?)   figure referenced from a Poser mesh ( I know, shoot me now....) rendered in Vue and photoshoped.  Final adjustments to complete include lighting and atmoshpere, general tweaking and corrections and then done, unless anyone can spot anything else that needs attention.  Speak up now at the back I know your listening.  At least I hope else I'm talking to myself again.......

Sinistral & xHaStex - Thanks for the comments, I think I might swap the shield into his other hand and have him holding a spear in the other, hmmmmm. Like you say not much point him having a shield without a spear, all or nothing - will have to decide!

Sinistral, can see where your image was going now!...lovin' the composition and she's got a great ar..m, arms, great arms!!!

I'm thinking to myself, yeh I'm enjoying watching this challenge, everyones images are coming along nicely......then .....WOW! Sinistral adds the central character. Oh my goodness that girl is just awesome. Brilliant pose, gorgeous hair and not too bad in the derriere department either. Amazing.
