hmmm....yah, I can't say it was a very flattering ad that's for sure, especially since they kind of repeat the same ideas in different words a couple of times. and to top it all off, what's with the comment about artists not being able to write properly? Might be me reading between the lines but that wasn't very tactful of them.

what's with the comment about artists not being able to write properly?
Sounds like a pretty fair assessment as far as I can see. Whenever anyone comments on spelling or criticises misuse of technical terms around here they get told that this is an art site, nobody gives a toss about those things, and to go away and whine about it on a language semantics site instead if they are that bothered.
I'm interested in seeing who the new No 1 will be. What their affections/attitude and editor ship will be like relative to the online community. The sucess of IFX works partly due to the close bonding or relative feedback of artists, community and the magazine.
A new no.1 will have to fill in those shoes, either improve on the existing subscriber base, flex some muscles eventually (probably they get a small list of IFX cardinal rules. here is our existing formula for the magazine. these cannot be broken. you have to stick to these, and here is our existing base strength. and these are what you can do to improve if you will)
So. any new news? And can they Literally lliteratesize our illllletertaacy of slingo. slango and whango...
You'd need someone who has had worked in publishing. Can deal (socialize) with all cross level of society (whereas i'm selectively anti social and a bstard to work with sometimes)
akin to a job advert stating - art director.: must have had 2 AAA titles worked on prior
its a big job and requires a certain amount of bullishness/and task masterness whilst still maintaining the IFX responsiveness to the general public/artist. Creative background helps.
ehehahahahaha oh well in that case, the "mad hamster" should apply for the job. :D sounds like a job for the hamster.

Reading between the lines, getting these effin arty types to behave is a full time job in itself.
Hey guys,
Just want to point out that isn't Rob's job advertised in the Guardian. It's for a production editor, someone that checks text - among many other things.
We're not dissing artists' writing abilities! We're simply saying that in workshops, we use artists rather than journalists.
