If I must stand alone on this issue so be it. I for one am a happy supporter of the new rule system. Well...let's just say it's a necessary rule system. Do I really really really want to post my wips....no...not really...but it's not that hard for me...takes me just a few minutes and they're done. A while back  people were posting paint overs and calling them theirs...and some people stood up to them and challenged them on the subject. The issue wasn 't paint overs but doing it and saying it WAS theirs....and THAT's the problem and rub that erks me. Plus as the afore mentioned Kaz has said...clearly people were "trophy trolling" as Em puts it and just entering peices in contests that "kinda" fit the theme of the contest. It especially erks me when people give themes and people don't really stick to them....half the fun of winning is getting to pick a theme!

Anywho...on some of the peices it was clear that the peices entered in the weekly challenges took more than a week to put together...so if you guys want to call me the "Art Police" ...I shall take it on the chin. I don't mind. For me it's the principle of the matter and of course those who were cutting corners and also using puppet accounts erked me too...but I guess Banj and Goat have that under control? I dunno....I like fairness and rightness and the American way...wait a minute...I live in Oz...well... call it semi-socialist controlled by the state under a facist rule state...maybe that works better....Egads I've backed myself into a corner haven't I? Hmmm...oh well I am here for the counter attack...::standing tall....as it were:::

Most challenges and contest have rules, Its also a way to gain insight in how others work and their process in working, a nice way to learn, pick up tips or help out your other artists. Seems a little selfish and a tad petty to complain about something so trivial. Everyday in the real world most of us live by rules, from driving your car, to not budging in to lines.

i guess you'd only mind if you were doing a little 'cheating'. Apart from the hassle of finding your wips (and eagle & Martin have a good thing going on now, they add a post to the final thread and just keep adding wips when they're done) its not a problem at all.

Dunno if this'll be any help to anyone, but I used to find it a pain searching through the WIP threads until I realised I could go into my own homepage, then on the go to my community profile and search for my own posts with that particular subject then I can just right click and 'copy the link location to get the url. Does that make any sense? Anyway, it's saved me a bit of time recently, when it's 11.55 and I'm panicking trying to post my WIPs

It's not mentioned in this thread, but you can only enter one image per challenge. It was mentioned somewhere in the official rule thread that fabledgoat wrote up but I can't find that exact reference right now.
