    A satisfying thump!

I recieved the new IFX magazine today, with the same satisfying thump that I look forward to everytime it arrives!

Inside we are posed with question, "which did you pick?" since there are two versions of the cover art. It appears that, by providence alone, I am as pure and virtuous as Snow White, since it was that cover that alighted upon my door mat!

Beautiful artwork as usual, but I can't help but feel that the saturation of the blood is a little too high. It's a bit of shock value that the piece could have done without as, in fact, some of the WIP's show.

Just my opinion, but it would be intereseting to see what others think.

    IFX folk.... Thank you!

There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it Kaz. It just turns up when it feels like it!

I know that this is not the subject of this thread... but I must vent my fury somewhere!! I can't get my flippin' images to upload (download, or whatever it is that I usually get them to do) onto my WIP thread! Dammit! It is highly frustrating!!!!!!!!

got your pm & replied sugar, you did it right :D

Dom, what are you having a problem with? are you uploading via the options tab and uploading from your computer or via an image host?

    Re: A satisfying thump!

In the "reply to an existing message" window I am going to the 'options' tab, then I click the add/update button and get the upload window. I open the image I want in the browse window and then press save. Nothing out of the ordinary with that. But, then it takes a few seconds to think about it and directs me to a stupid "oops" page. I hate those things!

Dunno what is happening. It even goes to the aformentioned "oops" page if I just select add/update and then close the pop up window without trying to open or save anything! Stupid computers!!!

P.S I don't know what an "image host" is. Please feel free to treat me as stupid, because tech language is far from my mother tongue!

    Re: A satisfying thump!

well you're doing it right, all i can think is that you are trying to upload a massive image (unlikely) or you are using the wrong type of file, (more likely) are you uploading a jpeg or jpg? (the site doesn't like one format, i think it's jpg)

an image host is where you upload to a website, such as imageshack or photobucket, you can then link from there, but that often ends up in images not showing so try & work out the options tab way.

    Re: A satisfying thump!

Jpeg. When I save it to upload it here, I always save it to jpeg. I even just tried to upload an older painting I did ages ago and have already succesfully uploaded, but it didn't work.

Oh well! I am sure it will work itself out eventually. These things seem to just come and go. I was even locked out of this site for a while and then just one day it started working again. Thanks for your help Kaz. It was kind of you.

Anyway.... when everyone else gets the IFX magazine (including you guys in America, Dave!) please feel free to comment on the "blood issue!" which is why I started this thread in the first place!!
