6.30-7am driving along the A19 in the fog as the sun rose over the sea, I have an enduring image of these silhouetted wind turbines . tried to catch the atmosphere of the image in my head so maybe not that accurate.

Ah, been missing all the little patterns, sketchies and characters, nice work as usual - Mermaid looks great! And the rabbit's cool, you should feature him more in your work :)

hey Alex Smile long time no see. Hope all's well with you. Ha! yes lots of bits and bobs. Thanks! glad you like the rabbit :0

Todays was an exercise in  atmosphere using a very limited palette. started as a sci- fi landscape but ended with a beach. After posting thought i maybe should have added some wildlife.a moth or something.

aw shucks! thanks Phoeni ! that made my daySmile

played around with gradients and brushes today to create this planet(brushes used from one of martas tutorials-for the clouds). please ignore the rather inadequate foreground.

gradients are definitely your friend. the top bit of the ground seems abit off (think it needs stronger definition between it and the planet) but the planet looks awesome.

thank you both for visiting :).

yes phoeni the foreground is a bit off  Thought the values needed adjusting.but it was really a planet study and the foreground was more of an afterthought. thanks for the feedback though

Hi red nice to see you back, thanks I presume you mean the hare gazing one?- like the witchy avatar, lol, very halloweeny.

more playing about. This time with the brushes on issue 50's cover disc- (the moon ones are great too)

Well that is just beautiful Nimh.

Since I just got my mag today, I'll have to take a peek at those brushes! LOL! Are they for photoshop or painter? ;) Oh I'll find out!

Yes, I meant the bunny one. :)

Thank you, she's from last year's October monthly challenge "witchy". (She's in my gallery.) Did you enter that one?

BTW.....did you not enter your cover image? From just the tid bits I saw, I though for sure your entry would be published. Unless of course, you didn't enter! Naughty! Naughty!

thank you RedSmile, no I didn't enter  that one. And yes, I entered  issue 50, It's disorientating seeing everyone's real names isnt it, lol, (it's 3 to the left of yours) my hubby didn't spot it either at first, he said it looked different HmmWink. took several tries to upload it so the jpeg just scraped in on time. Its this one

here's a bit of an update- a robin from the front of the Rspb catalogue (but having drawn the feathers I had no heart to detail the wire food basket)
