Actually, I'm feeling a bit guilty. . .these are two very sweet, caring, albeit naive kids that I'm afraid I dumped a bit too much worry on. My doctor thinks I might have bone marrow cancer, and I really didn't want to tell them, but they're family and would have heard sooner or later. Sooo, I need to replace their smiles, if you see what I mean.

So sorry to hear this Sartorious hang in there man. Hopefully tests will come back negative I went through this when the doctors thought I might have cancer in my throat and waiting for those test was murder for me. Keep your chin up and don't worry too much until you know for sure.

Re: Digital Dave's - Litter box

Sartorious, as Evil stated, I'm also very sorry to hear this. I recall you talking to Geir on your thread about having to go back & forth to the doctors, and that you were having some issues. But didn't want to just invite myself to your business. But again like Evil stated, I hope you get good new back from your doctor on this issue, as Evil did. Which is also good to hear.

... As far as the pic goes, I wouldn't think of it. It would only cost you the electricity that it would take to download it. That's if ya still like it once I'm done. Big Smile Kind of getting hung up on the coloring method really. Keep wanting to make it more realistic, when I know it should stay cartoony to stay with the theme. ... I plan on spending more time on it for the next few days, and if I'm lucky, it may come out not looking too bad. And just to let you know, I will not be adding anything like names that would have to be changed for your copy, but did plan on putting M&M on a framework with some type of white ironwork around the top & sides, and possibly along the bottom. Will have to see how it looks on screen first though. ... The progress is posted under the Marta Wedding thread in the crits section, but I will go ahead & copy them here as well.

Talk with ya later, and take care.

Are you sure about this? I mean, your time and talent is worth something. Hell, you just laid out the bucks for Artrage 3, which is more than i could afford at this time.

    Think about it.

    And thanks a lot.

I just wish they'd make up their minds. After seeing the initial x-ray, my doctor said that he'd never seen anything like it in his life. (The last time that I heard that was on my first honeymoon!)  The after the M.R.I., they found a hot spot but said they doubted it was cancer. Then came the bone scan and no hot sport. They said: 'Maybe it's nothing.' But the doctor wanted to be sure and referred me to a bone specialist. Last night I get a call. . .forget the bone specialist, you need to have a biopsy!

    I'm getting dizzy!

    Later.

Re: Digital Dave's - Litter box

Wow, it does sound like you have your hands full. I really hope the best for ya, and hope you get good news back. ... My wife also has a lot of medical problems, so I know a little about how that can get. She hasn't worked since 1996, after being injured, and probably never will again. ... But as for the pic, please don't worry about it. I just really hope it comes out nice for everyone now. And if it brings a few smiles, then it's all worth it. ... With the exception of some commisioned work I did years ago, I've always done artwork as a hobby, for friends and just becuase I enjoy doing it. But trust me, I don't need any money for it. Just hope they like the finished pic.

Well, keep in touch man, and hope to hear some good new from ya. ... Oh, you also mentioned looking at my digital work, don't recall if I mentioned it already, but I added links to my signature, so if you ever want to check them out, just click on the link for digitals in my post. (just looked into how to do this the other day) ... I only have 4 that I have done so far, but hope ya like them.

    Later

You could say that. Sorry about your wife's difficulties. I've been disabled for quite some time now.

Oh well, the beat goes on!

Hey, the pic (below) is coming out beautifully. The couple that I mentioned giving it to are going to be coming to town to visit on the 14th of next month. I'll get to see their reaction to it and will fill you in.

    Gotta go & thanks!

Hey guys, thanks! ... Angry Interracial! Interracial! ... I personally think all candy should have the right to lay in a bowl together. ... I mean, at least they do have things in common with each other. They are both round, are both nose-less, and if you can look beyond their outer coatings, they are... well, NUTS! Indifferent Stick out tongue

That's real nice Sartorious, always good to see someones reaction in person. Hopefully, they will like the finished pic too. ... I spent quite a bit of time on this one yesterday. Had a hell of a time trying to figure out the backpiece I wanted to create. I knew what I wanted, but wasn't sure on it's design or how to go about putting it down so it didn't look too cheap. But once it came to me it was just a matter of time getting it put together. Hope ya like, here's the update thus far.

I would love to know how you created the lacey border. And i love the way you've painted the bells in such a soft almost. . .powdery?. . .texture that stands out in contrast to the somewhat harsher background.

Anyway, Mike & Melissa are due here on the 15th of next month, and I'll be sure and let you know their reaction. Perhaps I can get a photo of them. . .now if I could just find a couple of M&M costumes. .. .Hmmmmm, let me see.

Thanks mjasnowski, glad you like it.

Sartorious, that damn border took me all day to work it up. Big Smile Had it in my mind what I was shooting for, but wasn't sure how to go about it. ... Finally just started roughing in the lines, trying to tie them in together, like an iron gate or something. Then when I thought it was as I wanted, went back and cleaned up the lines, making sure to connect any areas that touched. Took time, but I really like the way it came out too. Some have already mentioned it on the other thread too, so hope Marta likes it too.

As for the bells, after I started putting them in, I really like the way they looked against the background. So made sure not to outline them in any way which ... um... which led me back to the um, characters. Indifferent Decided to work them up in the same way, as shown below. Hope ya like this version, if not I still have the more cartoony style if you like that one better, just let me know. ... I am hoping to get some more of it done tomorrow.

    See ya

Just a quick update. Decided to add the title into the border, which I ran across the bottom as well. Also did the eyes on the girl. Never did eyes before, so wasn't sure how they were going to come out. Took some time to make some that didn't look too bad.

I love this Dave, so cute and a really great idea. I really like the way you incorporated the title in the border.
