Hmm I don't really get what you guys are talking about...

anyways, it's great that you're drawing, and so many others too! I didn't think there would be so many people joining the daily skecth challenge. Maybe it can surpass "new members intruduce yourselves!" and become the most popular post ever.

    Re: lets encourage each other!

O on the sketch challenge thread someone abbreviated my name to PCorn and then people started calling me popcorn and the names are getting weirder, also Hell yeah lets go for most popular thread. God I'm getting more pumped by the second. *does cheese anime power up pose*

    Re: lets encourage each other!

*blows through scattering encouragement to all in need*

Hi I'm Dave and I am terrible at posting comments. I usually just delete whatever comment I'm making due to not wanting to hurt feelings with a language blunder.

I spend alot of time studying digital painting and trying to translate what I can remember from my years of traditional oil and acrylic painting. *cue violins* I'm trying to rewire my brain to this new way of painting since I lost a chunk of my memory and in that chunk was my painting vocabulary. I have a painting studio stocked with tons of supplies but I cant even remember how to mix paint. yeah its that bad. I cant remember how I did most of my old work, I used to sell a couple of paintings a month and the money was great! So, after 20+ years I'm starting over but this time its with Photoshop.

If you see something I'm working on, I really like any crits and comments. Its hard to offend me.

.... I have no idea what I would do if I was in your situation. It seems so hard. Good thing you can learn everything again, and it's not like you lost your hand or something. (losing my right hand is my worst nightmare!)

I hope you will get as good as you were before! I will definitely comment on your WIPs.

    Good thing you don't get offended by crituiqe, I think I'm a little inconsiderate sometimes^^;

    Re: lets encourage each other!

I know I'm the one who's supposed to encourage others here, but I have to whine a little:

I just did the stupidest thing ever. I was work on a painting, and I saved it in psd. Then I wanted to put the newest bersion in my WIP post, so I resized it, to 700x700 pixles. Then I somehow managed to save the psd file in that size too!! And I'd worked a lot since the last save!![:'(] Somebody pat my head..

    Re: lets encourage each other!

Owch... yep I think a few of us have done that one, me included. I try to save all Wip under a different name now (from my psd). A completely different name not just a number or letter different that way its very unlikely to happen.

Thanks guys! I feel better now.

I managed to almost save the pic too, so there won't be as much extra work as I thought.

    Re: lets encourage each other!

Aww, Nina, I'm sorry to hear that. I've done it to myself a few times. That's why I save any major changes as a version 2,3,4 ect.

Nihm, your not alone. I am horrible with people. I have made a new years resolution to do intensive studies of people and clothing. I'm gonna sketch till my head hurts and hands are numb.....or the otherway around, which ever comes second. By this time next year I shall be doing amazing feats of character rendering! Ha! Take that new year!
